Not impressed when i called in to buy cigarettes this morning when a member of staff called Carl appeared very judgmental on smokers and those who vape. He said it was good that all these prices had increased in the budget. Well keep your personal opinions to yourself Carl and do not express them to your customers and members.
This particular shop not all is generally okay. I am leaving this review as cautionary advice, however, for those using their cards to pay for goods.nnToday, for the second time within a year, their card machine has messed up just as the payment is being/has been approved. So that the money leaves your account, but then refuse to let you leave with the goods you have just paid for. Even when you show your banking app to prove payment has gone through.nnWhat really sticks in the throat is the attitude of staff members, who start giving you dodgy looks and begin talking to you as though you're trying to pull some fast one. Even though you are proving payment has been verified.nnMy advice to others would be to use cash only when using this particular branch. Because their machines are dire, but refuse to admit they have a problem with them.
Good selection of products for a smaller store
Really helpful staff here. My arthritis was playing up today. They asked me to lift my basket up to the till. When I explained I couldn't, a lass came around to the front of the till and lifted my basket up and the young man serving me packed my groceries for me. Super helpful and very polite.
This is such a nice store! It is deceptively large for a convenience store with a great range, including plenty of fresh fruit and veg, freshly baked bread, coffee machine and a great selection of craft beer and wines. The store has a large free car park and is open all day, every day!
