This Co op is the main supermarket for Hay on Wye but not really that big. It is a typical Welsh Co op offering a good range of products at a reasonable price. You would probably still want to go to a larger supermarket for more choice. There is a reasonable size car park and usually spaces.

Live over border miles away in Madley but make a point of visiting Co-op at Hay for a number of reasons top one being their superb range of bread/rolls or varieties of - and always Barabrith where else can we buy that locally? Mince pies a bit pricey but worth the extra and not many stores sell them this time of year.   Did a big shop this week ..normally do not buy cheese baps but thought we would try them and beyond expectation crunchy tasty and soft. co-op. staff are all very likeable and friendly 
And service always quick. we also just enjoyed tasty Co-op. Steak pies which we would buy again and the thin sliced breaded ham good flavor excellent for sandwiches. sliced Ham usually any stores quite disappointing  but not this one. Used to buy regularly Hereford label red wine from South America first found at Hay Co-op and enjoyed,  even got it when in Moffat Co-op in Scotland where we visit often due to family and friends there and we gave it regularly as gifts when visiting friends. it is not currently on shelves in Co-ops. so will keep looking out for it as not seen anywhere else but at Co-op supermarkets. 
We make a point of visiting Co-op. store when in Hereford  as an alternative but there are items in Hay that are not always available elsewhere. Glad to see Hay continuing to be served so well by you and congratulations to Manager and all the staff.Find paying for trolley a bit of a nuisance as we always do a big shop but in a widespread country area I suppose it is necessary or people make off with them or dump them.
You keep a very tidy store!
