The most unfriendly, unapologetic and unhelpful staff I have come across in a long time. The shop DOES NOT open at 7.00am, which is the time stated on Google. There's a paper notice, hardly visible unless you look hard, which the manager pointed out to me at 7.20am. The writing on the window, however, still says 7.00am. Get your shopping somewhere else if I were you. Only grocery shop in the village, and they need some competition. And some staff training.

There were a few empty shelves during our most recent visit, very expensive, narrow aisles and slow checkout service.nnI wish another grocery store would come to Grasmere as this place may improve if it had some half decent competition.
Good shop! Staff was friendly to me! Just what you need in the village
Not open when advertised. Hours on Google and Co-op website suggest it should be open until 22:00, but closed before 21:00
