A nice and bright place and friendly staff

The cashier saw that I was Chinese and was racist. He had to check my id to buy cigarettes. The person before me didn't ask to check? I'm 24 years old, so if I go shopping alone and you check my ID, I have nothing to say. Great!
Me thinks some of the negative reviews are from someone with a serious grudge. I have been using this shop for 8 years. It goes from strength to strength. The instore bakery is very handy, they are open all hours, the staff are very friendly, great selection of wine you can always find something for a fiver. If I need an onion on Christmas day I know they will have one. All round a great little shop.
Well done Co-op! They have been open throughout the recent extreme weather and the staff have been brilliant. This is always a very reliable little local shop and have a surprising range of stuff. The staff here have worked on their days off during an extremely busy time where people have been panic buying and they have run out of pretty much everything, but the staff are still polite and calm and have smiles on their faces. Couldn't praise them enough.
Staff were rather rude when the product wouldn't scan at the self checkout. Told me he "didn't have time for this" and to use the normal till next time.
The employee refused to give me my order just because the store closed 3 minutes ago, all he had to do was to pick up a bag and give it to me, extremely incompetent guy, you guys should do something about his attitude.
Love the Co-op, even if it's a tad pricey, because they treat their staff, customers, and suppliers especially well thanks to their cooperative, rather than corporate, structure. This comes at a cost, if you can afford that cost, then you should pay it. Products are fine too! I recommend grabbing membership for points effectively a discount, voting rights, and potentially a share.
The staff sometimes give you service with a smile. The manager looks at all customers with a look of disgust, and likes to insult the customers in front of others at a busy time of day. I would recommend not going here unless you like to have that type of service.
The management should be commended for upholding the law and protecting their staff. Good simple shop
Good selection of goods on the shelves some gaps though because of the national shortage also very clean store and friendly staff
It's a small market, their customer service ranges from really good to a bit scatty and their fruit is always warm/gone off.
