It's a cramped, oddly stocked shop. If there's a wheelchair user shopping you won't get past. The staff are always friendly but stacking shelves conflicts with manning the tills at times. And they never seem to have some of the goods I want. There is a very small range of fresh meat, fish and frozen goods. Fortunately there's an independent baker, greengrocer, butcher and fishmonger around the corner.
One person serving 10 in the queue Both self service checkouts was broken no cas and no receipt. Feel sorry for the only member of staff in the store as he was trying his hardest to get the queue down Lot of angry customers I was there 10 minutes in the queue I won't go back.
There are 2co-op's in Bexhill. The one in Devonshire has been modernised and is a nicer store, staff friendly too, in store bakery bread is really nice. Western road co-op needs a serious makeover and the air con sorted, it is always so hot in there. Service can be slow when certain staff are on, but generally they are friendly and helpful.
"So, the more successful we are, the more we can give back to you and your local community". Ha ha ha ha ha ha. The most inhuman place. ever
Nice to see the Co-op care about food, but not their customers, just paid a visit there, and was greeted by the most ignorant person behind the till, I said hello, got no reply, I was told the price, just the price, no please no thank you, "it " just walked away, when I asked for my receipt, "it" just said, " what was it for", 10 seconds after it served me, it did not know what it had sold me, or did it? Guess what? I wont be going back to co -op again. Thanks Simon
This is an S tier Co op. It was recently renovated and feels very modern. The customer service is also top tier. The people working there are so nice and helpful.
It's bigger than you're average convenience shop but basically does the same job.Good if you need the odd loaf of bread etc but not good for a weekly shop having said that the goods are good quality and it seems to have everything you could want ,meat ,booze, etc etc and the shop is well laid out and the staff are friendly. So very good.
Great shop for all your daily shopping needs, but staff here need training on how to greet customers as I decided to buy myself a new magnum ice lolly on the way home from my trip, I was the only one queuing whilst the two ladies were deep in conversation & eating a choc ice each, when one finally acknowledged me, I put my ice cream on the counter as she was still eating, then after trying to pick mine up without putting her ice cream down, she scanned it with sticky hands before slamming it down on the counter, I paid & she then gave me a very sticky 10p, SO RUDE as she just glared at me the whole time for disturbing her food, I thought their food was to be eaten at break times, it was inevitable that when I opened this lolly the chocolate was shattered on one side, waste of money & very disappointing!
Can get very busy most of the time only one staff that works at the checkout while u wait 12 minutes in the Queue and it’s very cramped in the shop when it gets busy
Expensive, empty bakery, not the politest staff and usually only one cashier.
