This is a post regarding the pending bank branch closure no-one except out of touch executives call bank branches 'stores'. Don't be fooled by the nonsensical mantra of the need to close branches due to 'reduced footfall'. Reduced footfall in a bank is not the same as reduced footfall in a shop. The same amount of money is still coming into the bank, so closing yet more branches actually means increased profits, not reduced loses. On another note, I have just spent one hour in a Virgin online help chat trying to sort an issue that a phone call or branch visit probably could have done in 20 minutes. This is not progress.
Trying to phone to make an apt to see some one is impossible. You just get pushed from pillar to post. When you have miles to go to the nearest bank and want to speak to some one and then find that they are busy, this can be very frustrating especially as you get older.
Usually not bad but someone was able to take my card and go into the branch without ID and take over £1000 from my account
