Modern and spacious inside with lovely historically walled gardens out the back. Pop through the hole in the wall for a more spacious garden area. Menu was varied for any time of day, including a roast on Sunday. Reasonably priced. No table service, its canteen style.
Having a cup of tea in these fabulous surroundings the prices are just about right the service is good too
Cafe's strong appeal is the ambience. Within the cathedral complex, the scenery is a mixture of modern and ancient architecture, around the 13th century. Food is reasonably priced. From my observations of 3 tables, the servers need to wipe the tables after clearing up, something which was, sadly, not done.
Great place for lunch, snacks or a pot of tea. Looks kind of small, but opens up as you walk in, a lovely garden at back plus another secret garden.
Enjoyed my Sausage Bap and a Filter Coffee. Very nice, uncluttered, spacious and peaceful place to relax. Have been going there for years.
Very light and pleasant surroundings. Plenty of tables in the garden. Good price for a tea, only £2. Had to queue in main food queue as drinks only counter shut. However still a nice place.
Clean and nice staff. Limited choice especially for vegetarians and couldn't see any vegan options.
Very popular and prices reasonable compared with others in the area. GF cake disappointing but orange and cranberry very tasty. Pleasant service. Would go again as sitting space in gardens etc means there is plenty of room.
They took my DINE promo from car insurance. I had to argue tho. Great service.
Lovely place inside the cathedral. Coffee good. Nice selection of cakes and biscuits. Staff are very slow
