"Completely refurbished at the start of 2019 The Clive Arms offers spacious, beautifully appointed accommodation in its 18 bedrooms. The Georgian building has been tastefully decorated and offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can sample some of the regions finest seasonal food, whether this is in the restaurant, the bar, the Plassey dining room or weather permitting, in one of our outside courtyard areas."

Stopped here wanting food but doesn't start food till 5.30pm which is fine, Also doesn't open till 3pm, quite a few people came in some asked for cake and biscuits, I was surprised that they don't do it as would be a good idea on listening to people. Young waitress friendly and helpful, welcoming, barmaid wasn't quite the same, but found the atmosphere nice, place clean and tidy and busy. Lots of tables booked for food tonight, rooms available as is a hotel, will go back and recommend
Great evening at a lovely restaurant. Food was incredible, three of the four of us opted for the butchers cut of steak and were not disappointed. The waitress was polite and informative and the food was tasty. Would definitely revisit.Food: 5/5
This is a review from when we went to The Clive Arms in Jan 2022. Just getting round to reviewing it now. I would thoroughly recommend this gem in Ludlow. We were visiting from London and staying in a cabin nearby in Downton; we were looking for a place for Sunday Roast. We ordered a vegan option as well as the chicken and dessert there-afterwards. Service, ambience and food were really outstanding and it was a welcoming place for us to visit. We often reminisce about returning here again for food hence completing this albeit delayed review! We were served by Jay Evans at the time who made every effort to make us feel welcome and looked after so thank you! And a particular shout out to the Chefs - Ursula and Jackson! Vegetarian options: Had vegan and vegetarian options for the roast.
The hotel was friendly and the staff were pleasant and helpful . The room was spacious, clean and warm. Lots of seating and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was at the Ludlow Kitchen which is next door in the Ludlow Farm shop. The breakfast was good and there were lots of choices. Parking: Parking was plentiful.
5 star in every way, location, room, dinner, breakfast and all staff who where so couteous, even a member of the cleaning staff, who when we left our room thanked us for staying there. Thankyou for a lovelly stay.
Lovely Sunday lunch. Starter, main course Roast Beef and dessert Baked Raspberry Cheesecake all brilliant. Staff very attentive and looked after us well. Thank you for a lovely meal.
Stayed in one of their lovely rooms over the Christmas break. And had a fabulous breakfast too. Staff very welcoming!Food: 5/5
Big, comfortable rooms, however, the breakfast was awful! Such slow service, when the food did come it was cold, soggy and tasteless. Needless to say it was sent back. The next morning we asked for just toast as we had to leave quickly. After waiting for half an hour just for toast we left and went to the local sainsburys instead. Book a room but don’t bother with breakfast.
Food was excellent as was the service all the staff were very friendly and attentive. It was a little quiet but I think that was more the weather than the venue.Food: 5/5
Good place for a cup of tea or a pint. Cosy seating in a front room type set up, think country lodge. Often looks closed from the outside, don't be fooled, it's open and invitingService: 5/5
