The Clayton hotel was a great place to stay. We stayed in a lovely family room. The staff were very kind and helpful. We had a baby and. Toddler and they did everything in their power to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The food at restaurant and for breakfast was delicious. This was our second time staying. Will definatly be back
Lovely rooms we got upgraded. Average breakfast. Restaurant area is ok but food over priced not great! Staff not very friendly nothing happy nice about them! Hotel is in a business district type location so there are no restaurants or pubs nearby! Certain Reception Staff need to be trained .. Unfortunately other than the lovely room there was nothing else that is worth returning for! There are much nicer hotels around Dublin so don’t waste your good earned money!
Booked due to it being the beginning and ending point for a tour. The rooms were nice and clean. Staff was polite and helpful. The location is not the best in the world due to a lack of stores and restaurants within walking distance. The hotel offers a nice bar with good drinks and staff but there is very little else to do in the area.
Warm, cozy hotel with a lovely atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, offering a great experience. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic selection that catered to all dietary needs.nnOn the downside, the menu and service in The Red Bean Roastery could use some improvement – several items were unavailable, and we had to look for staff to get served. Additionally, the gym was quite small compared to European standards, and the hotel’s surroundings are mainly offices, with no nearby marts or restaurants.nnOverall, a satisfying stay with minor areas for improvement.
Edit to add:nWas contacted privately by email soon after this initial review, which said the exact same as the response below, however in the email they did ask for my phone number to contact me to discuss the matter further. 1 month on and still have not received a phone call, going by some other reviews, this seems to be the norm with this hotel. They obviously don't want to practice what they preach - in improving the aspects which are letting the hotel down and loosing them business.nnThe check in staff were friendly and check in itself was easy. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and duvet was lovely and warm, the curtains were the best black out curtains I've seen in a hotel but I'm afraid that's where it ends for my stay. The bathroom seemed like it hadn't been cleaned, there was a pink paste in the sink, like denture paste, as we were just dropping our bags at this stage en route to a concert, we cleaned it with wipes. The button to flush the toilet on the wall was hanging off. The following morning, we got up to have a shower which was eventful to say the least, my husband turned on the shower and water sprayed all over the bathroom, wetting everything we had on the bathroom unit, some of which were medical equipment, the toilet, even the toilet roll, all because the shower head was loose. My husband managed to fix it somewhat so we shower and go for breakfast.nOnto breakfast...... the lady who seated us... she seriously needs training in customer service, she had no personality to the point where we felt unwelcome. The breakfast was a buffet style and was stone cold, even though each individual item was in pods to keep it hot. It didn't help that the plates were also stone cold and wet from not being dried properly after washing.nUpon check out we brought all the issues up when asked was everything OK for our stay, and we were offered an apology.
