These are the most uncaring and cruel council in the world . My sister is disabled and their incompetent staff at the assessment centre put the wrong figure on his system for my sisters care informing us 2 years later that sister owes over £8000 arrears due to their mistake . I argued against this only to be told that they will stop my sisters benefit now . My sister had a heart attack in November 2022 and this is putting so much pressure on her as well but do they care ? Her benefits will be stopped as these callous people decide its what they want to do SHAME on you portsmouth city Council hope you are proud of yourself and your I incompetent staff
I recently requested for a concessionary bus pass and the Concessionary team won't accept a GP letter as proof of disability even though a GP is a medical professional
Changed all council tax details on line beginning of November, now get a letter asking for all details saying I owe over £500, I have been paying by direct debit monthly, bunch of halfwits
Cancelled bus pass while awaiting new bus pass, need the bus so have to pay which can’t afford! Incompetent system/decision making which obviously needs updating and all you get is”sorry”…..pathetic!
I am trying to get to speak with somebody, still waiting after 40 minutes. Terrible service as I am trying to sort out your incompetence
Useless, unhelpful, only seem to care about your money and offer no solutions to your problems. They refuse to offer a parking permit despite living in the area, leaving me with no where to park. Thanks PCC
P.C.C has for years been pathetically incompetent but this £150 rebate is setting new standards of stupidity. Lets keep the money until Sept!!!!!!, earn a bit of interest on it!!!!!! & sod the people who currently need it!!!!! Lets send out tons of unnecessary paperwork not very green!!!, spend loads of council taxpayers money on postage to check who we are. REALLY..... they know who we are when the council tax bills are printed and the bands we are in. Why, why, why didnt they just take the £150 off peoples bills!!!!!! They clearly couldn't organise one in a brewery. Unless its bending to the will of the overbearing university or sending out traffic wardens at the crack of dawn they're not interested, just increasingly incompetent and we pick up the bill for it.
You claim to support people with disabilities but then treat them so poorly, your a joke
Our family day out in Portsmouth was ruined today with an unexpected bus lane ticket, we took a wrong turn and ended up in Bishop Crispian Way, which looked like we had done nothing wrong with no obvious way out, untill studying google maps and could not believe this ridiculous money trap. To add to my frustrations it was after hours on a weekend and my 1st ticket of this nature in nearly 30 years of clear driving. Thanks Portsmouth we won't be returning any time soon. Another cashcow for over paid underworked bureaucratic pencil pushes. Literally with no idea of the real world destoying retail and tourisim. Next time you should at least have painted the road red and not allowed regular traffic to turn into this road in the 1st place.
In May 2018 I visited Portsmouth and walked round most of the city visiting the Historic dockyard also. I parked in the Park and Ride car park and jumped on a bus into Portsmouth. The first stop being St. Johns Catholic Cathedral in Bishop Crispian Way, Portsmouth PO1 3HQ. Followed by the Victoria Park an oasis in the middle of a built up city, 3 Stanhope rd, Portsmouth PO1 3QL Portsmouth then next was the City Council buildings Civic Offices, Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth PO1 2AL. There are so many interesting places to see around this part of Portsmouth. Portsmouth is a port city in Hampshire, England, mainly on Portsea Island, 70 miles 110 km south-west of London and 19 miles 31 km south east of Southampton. It has a total population of 205,400. The city forms part of the South Hampshire metropolitan area, which also covers Southampton and the towns of Havant, Waterlooville, Eastleigh, Fareham, and Gosport. The city's history can be traced back to Roman times. A significant naval port for centuries, Portsmouth has the world's oldest dry dock and was England's first line of defence during the French invasion in 1545. Special Palmerston Forts were built in 1859 in anticipation of another invasion from continental Europe. By the early-19th century, Portsmouth was the most heavily fortified city in the world, and was considered the world's greatest naval port at the height of the British Empire. The world's first mass production line was set up in the city, making it the most industrialised site in the world. During the Second World War, the city was a pivotal embarkation point for the D-Day landings and was bombed extensively in the Portsmouth Blitz, which resulted in the deaths of 930 people. Portsmouth is one of the world's best known ports. HMNB Portsmouth is considered to be the home of the Royal Navy and is home to two-thirds of the UK's surface fleet. The city is home to some famous ships, including HMS Warrior, the Tudor Mary Rose and Horatio Nelson's flagship, HMS Victory the world's oldest naval ship still in commission The former HMS Vernon naval shore establishment has been redeveloped as a retail park known as Gunwharf Quays. Portsmouth is among the few British cities with two cathedrals: the Anglican Cathedral of St Thomas and the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John the Evangelist. The waterfront and Portsmouth Harbour are dominated by the Spinnaker Tower, one of the United Kingdom's tallest structures at 560 feet 170 mtr . Nearby Southsea is a seaside resort with a pier amusement park and medieval castle along with the D day Museum. Victoria Park was the first public park to be opened in Portsmouth. When the fortifications around Portsea were levelled, land was obtained by the Corporation from the War Office for a peoples park. Victoria Park was designed by Alexander McKenzie and was opened on the 25th May, 1878. Situated just to the north of Portsmouth Guildhall, across the railway lines, is this beautiful Park. This park covers almost 15 acres and is planted with trees, shrubs and flowers. Victoria Park is flanked to the west by the towering glass clad ex Zurich Insurance building. To the south by the Guildhall and University buildings formerly the Municipal College. To the east, across Anglesea road are more University buildings and Naval establishments and finally to the north on Edinburgh Road is the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John.
