Had a really great Traditional Afternoon Tea here in a very nice room looking out to the vast grounds. Staff from reception through to the serving staff were fantastic. Stayed overnight in one of the courtyard rooms. This again was very good, breakfast in the morning was plentiful, staff here also were fantastic. All in all an extremely pleasant stay. Highly recommend.
We used this place as just a quick one night stop off so only booked the cheaper room which is in the annex section at the back of the main house, the main hotel/house is amazing as is the grounds. So many photo opportunities. The best part of our stay was talking with the wonderfully friendly staff starting with the reception ladies then the house keeping girls, all were absolutely super friendly and helpful and made you feel so welcome. Our little Yorkie Toby was also very welcome and made a fuss of from the dog friendly staff. Would defo book in here again not problem at all.
The lamb shanks were out if this world! The food was all really amazing. Best wedding meal I think I've ever had so well done to the catering team! Really beautiful venue and grounds...only suggestion would be to change the faux flowers. It would be so much better if they were real.
Fabulous grounds for contemplating, meditating or just relaxing. Good venue for meetings, seminars etc. Which is why I was there but also a wonderful location for a wedding or other celebration. Lots of opportunities for afternoon tea, lunches. So much going on. What a jewel
Attended a wake at Mulberry House. Tea/coffee on arrival, followed shortly by a lavish, tasty finger buffet. Doggy bags were available to take uneaten food home for later. The house is set in large spacious grounds. Sadly it had snowed and was freezing when we were there, so we were inside.
My partner and I attended her great nieces wedding staying overnight. The venue was very picturesque and welcoming , the staff were polite and helpful, the food was fresh and plenty of it. I had attended a different venue earlier in the year which I will not name, but there was no comparison. I would gladly recommend Mulberry House, thankyou
Stunning venue with lots of character perfect for weddings with staff more than happy to help. Several areas for photographs to make your day special and get amazing shots over the bridge and infront of the house. Nestled a short distance from chelmsford its ideal.
Nice venue, been to 2 weddings here now last being my sister in laws. They had a vegan menu for their wedding breakfast. Vegetable pie were clearly not home made and were stuck in their foil trays. Drinks were not as expensive as I'd thought they'd be, everything is around £6 a drink. Although many of us though the drinks were watered down as only people drinking vodka seemed to be getting drunk. I don't know. Apart from that a picturesque venue.
This is a very late review! I celebrated my 80th birthday on 26 March 2022 at Mulberry House the house and grounds are beautiful - superb lunch and the two “Sue’s” looked after us very well -,weather was perfect too so guests were able to appreciate the lovely setting -- thank you so much for making my birthday such a perfect day Wendy Smith
The mistletoe and wine ball brilliant night ,great singer and dj. Stayed over night, breakfast was lovely as was the 3 course meal the night before. All the staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Would strongly recommend Mullberry house.
