I didn't plan to go to City Line Diner, but I'm glad I did! This modern diner is bright, clean, and has amazing food. The home fries were awesome; thoroughly cooked through and flavorful. The bacon was perfectly cooked. My friend ordered the pulled pork eggs Benedict, which she said was a little too sweet but very tasty. I had the apple spice pancakes which were HUGE! I wish it had come with more caramel sauce, but the apples were perfectly tender and the pancakes themselves had cinnamon in them. Our waitress was very sweet and provided great service. Now that Annie's is closed, this is my new favorite spot! Parking: One of the few diners in Worcester that offers parking, which is so nice. Wheelchair accessibility: The front entrance and bathrooms are wheelchair accessible, though soap and towels are beyond wheelchair reach.
After a long bodybuilding prep I was looking for a place to satisfy my craving for an awesome breakfast, and City Line delivered! Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were all very attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend the Cinnamon Apple Pancakes - as you can see they are enormous! And the homemade cinnamon raisin toast, omelette, and home fries were also fantastic. The Mickey Mouse pancake was a huge hit with my daughter, who requested to add chocolate chips. It was also huge! This was our first time there and we will definitely go back in the future. Kid-friendliness: They brought crayons and coloring pages right away, and lollipops at the end of the meal. Makes a big difference when dining out with a 1.5 yr old.
Super friendly place and lovely decor. You have to order an omelette to see the cutest thing evah. So the staff know what each omelette is they create a display with a small piece of all the fillings on the top. Check out my photo for the broccoli onion pepper and mushroom on top of the omelette. Tasted great as well.
Stopped in for a late breakfast on Sunday around noon. Although the place was pretty busy we were seated immediately. Our waitress was pretty friendly and welcoming. She clearly was used to the hustle as the place was booming and she managed things flawlessly. My buddy ordered a burger and fries which looked pretty decent. I ordered a breakfast quesadilla. They also have home fries or hash browns available but I went for the home fries. The quesadilla wasn't anything to speak of but the potatoes were my least favorite thing about this place. They were simply not done enough for my liking. They weren't nasty but I prefer my home fries crispy and these were anything but. After I already ordered, I noticed the waitress serving up a plate of chicken and waffles. Damn, had I known... She was nice enough to bring by a piece to try. Umm gooood lord! As I looked around, many of the other patrons clearly knew that there is a jewel hidden inside this unsuspecting eatery. I will be back ...for the chicken and waffles.
Coffee was so good! The people were very nice. The food was delicious! A great way to end an overnight shift with friends!
Your average breakfast place. Nothing special. The food took a good 20 minutes which us strange because we were there for breakfast, 3 people. Usually breakfast food is put at the table before your can take a sip of your drink. We were not offered refills on any of our drinks, we had to flag her down. The service was less than to be desired and the food was ok. Won't be back when there are so many great breakfast places in worcester. My omelet was good though, flipped perfectly. It was the bacon cheeseburger omelet.
Best loaded home fries but this time they totally flunked the Eggs Benedict. Brought it to the waitresses attention and she did absolutely nothing about it. Also, asked for more coffee but she didn’t bring back any more cream so it just sat there getting cold. Won’t be going back for a while. Thank you to the owner for reaching out. One bad experience is not going to stop me from going back. Will try again in the near future.
Yummy food. I got country fried steak with scrambled eggs, home fries and biscuits. Love free WiFi so I could work too
Fantastic breakfast. Only been once but want to go again. Edit: been twice, just as nice. Owner recognized my friend that I went with and took time to come over to say hi. Definitely my favorite breakfast place in the area.Recommended dishesIrish Benedict
Amazing customer service! The women there were amazing with my baby and were fast and friendly with our orders. The food was not good though.
