Fantastic time.. I was there for an experience morning.. Got to go up in a helicopter and actually fly it. Well.. I got to stear it.. I went up with 2 others. Your sat in the flying seat for approximately 15 minutes. The sensation is amazing. Although I wish I'd called direct and booked an hours flying lesson instead.
Enjoy your day. Would suit all ages. I'm petrified of heights but this is something else..

Great place to watch aircraft.  You can walk part way up the control tower to see the entire airfield.  There's a new aviation themed kids play area and a cafe/bar/restaurant on site which is reasonably priced.  There's also loads of picnic benches if you want to take your own food.  Parking is free too!

I was introduced to the airfield by an ex partner and visited on several occasions... Good Times x

Nice to sit and watch the planes for a while and good that's is free parking but not really much to do. Runway Visitor Park is better.
