This one is an easy five stars. From the moment we stepped foot in the tearoom is was all excellent. The friendly and happy staff, who clearly get on well together believe me - that makes a massive difference to a place, were immediately attentive offering us the choice of sitting inside or outside. It was a lovely sunny day, so outside it was on their comfortable outdoor chairs and clean table. Served by a very cheerful woman, we ordered a latte with oat milk and a cream tea. It came with a delicious raspberry scone that was perfectly warm. The loos were clean too. Definitely recommend it. Vegetarian options: Saw a Vegan Breakfast on the menu. I'd have that if I was in for the morning.
We popped in for scones, I had a cheese one and my partner had cream and jam... They were absolutely delicious! My partner loved hers so much she had to go and tell the staff before we left. Lots to choose from on the menu and lovely coffee
Dear Cakey Fans! If you had to ask me: Stewie, given half a chance, in which cake parlour across the UK would you like to roll around naked dripping in cake? Well, not only would you be surprised by how often I get asked that question*, but I actually do have an answer. And that is a lovely little café nestled away in Hathersage deep in the heart of Derbyshire by the name of Cintra’s. Now I know you’re chomping at the bit to know what cake I’d like to smear all over myself, and let’s face it, there’s plenty of succulent treats to choose from. Gary, the chef, makes the best cakes around by a country mile and honestly, at about thirty minutes, it’s well worth a trip out from Sheffield to sample what he has to offer. The cakes, that is not Gary. So, on the cake front, Cintra’s does not fail to deliver. There’s a selection of yummy things to tempt you when you walk through the door which in my case is practically entrapment!. You’ve got the usual favourites: Coffee and Walnut, Coffee, Lemon, etc., which are all scrummy, but by FAR the popular favourite is the raspberry and almond, which is really light and moist and rich with flavour you can really taste the almond. It’s delicious! I could wax lyrical all day about the raspberry scones, the lovely tea with honey, the sandwiches, and the frankly yummy meat pie, but the cakes really are something else. I’ve got a few more places to try this season, but right now, I give Cintra’s the highest possible marks for their cake. Cake Score: Five NOMS. Well worth a visit. Just tell Julie Stewie sent you. More reviews soon! *It’s once. OK. Just once.
We had a fantastic cup of tea, cappuccino, hot chocolate and home-made cake. The atmosphere was lovely in the garden and the service was outstanding.Food: 5/5
Old style English cafe with lovely staff who accommodated all our requests for food changes. I’ve had better cooked breakfast in particular the sausages and mushroom which could be of better quality. The green in the back is great
We had a lovely walk into Hathersage and decided to have breakfast at Cintras. We have driven past many times but never ventured in. We were so glad we did. Being a self styled connoisseur of breakfasts, I feel well qualified to say this is one of the nicest I’ve ever had! Followed by a lovely piece of chocolate cake. The service was excellent, quality fantastic and also great value for money.
We stopped in Hathersage and popped in this placw for a drink. We had some toastes fruitcake which was lovely. From the minute we went in to the minute We left, the whole experience was excellent. They have a lovely outside area with a garden and even a coveret area in case it ruins so they've thought of everything. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place as the food, staff, and venue are lovely.
It's lovely here and the food is great. We've been twice now, for lunch and for breakfast and have thoroughly enjoyed both meals. The staff are really friendly and take time to engage with you past just taking your food orders. Would highly recommend.Food: 5/5
First visit to Cintras Cafe today. We had a great breakfast and our dog got a treat too. Good quality produce on the breakfast which was well cooked and presented. The staff were all very friendly and the young lady that served us was very polite and helpful. Will definitely visit again when we’re around Hathersage. ThankyouFood: 5/5
This is a little gem in the heart of Hathersage. We went in with family a couple of weeks ago who were visiting the area. Wonderful service as ever from Julie & the team. We had a full English breakfast which was was delicious. It set us up for the day! The weather was nice enough to sit in the beautiful garden which was an added bonus. We called in again a couple of days later for an afternoon cuppa. Their homemade cakes are to die for. Always spoilt for choice! Would recommend anyone visiting the area to go to Cintra's. You won't be disappointed!
