I can’t express how good Churchfield Vets Barnsley is. They have always look after all my pets and have been kind and caring at distressing times. My dog has had a few health issues, some being very worrying and they have provided excellent health care for him and always been compassionate and considerate towards me, explained what was going on and ensured that I was always kept up to date. I have had to use there emergency service a couple of times as he suffers with pancreatitis and they were so amazing with him, as he’s not the best patient but also they were so patient with me as I was extremely distressed and worried. They also remind me of any health checks and what vaccinations he may require. I feel very confident in the care they provide for him.
Rang to enquire about having my kitten neutered on a Voucher scheme by the cat protection league only to have the receptionist put the phone down on me. Would have appreciated a " sorry we don't support that scheme" reply.

We would definitely recommend this practice. Been taking my dogs for over 20 years & they are fantastic people. Always friendly, efficient & helpful. We usually book to see the same vet so over the many years we've built up a professional relationship & understanding with him, he's so caring & compassionate. Mr Bellringer our vet performed major surgery on one of our dogs & he did an excellent job, he explains everything so you understand exactly what the situation is. definitely worthy of 5 ***** in our experience
Had a visit from Slaven to do two blood tests for two of my horses. I normally have Tom for my horses but Slaven was very professional and friendly and completely put me at ease. He took bloods and was curious and asked questions and seemed to be genuinely interested in all the horses. Would definitely be happy for Slaven to treat my horses in the future
Extremely friendly, hopeful, and understanding. They were eager to educate regarding pet care as well as answering any questions.
Having dogs and horses I’ve always received a great service from Churchfields, but more so recently from Slaven. Having not had a great time this year losing 2 of my dogs, one of them being ill beforehand, he gave me great support. He also vaccinated my horses and was patient with my wary mares and gave great advice. For me it’s about having a vet I can trust who cares about the animals which he most definitely does - he’s a credit to Churchfields!
Friendly staff who provide excellent pet care at reasonable prices and do not constantly push expensive tests that may not be necessary
Have not visted the vets in person yet but the receptionist made it extremely easy to transfer my details from my previous vets.
