Established in 1981, Chung Ying is one of Birmingham’s oldest and most valued Cantonese restaurants, winning several prestigious awards and making it to the final 3 of “Britain’s Best Chinese Restaurant”.

Great social distancing measures in place. Temperature check on arrival. Hand sanitiser available before entering in restaurant. Staff all wearing mask. Outdoor seating area has heaters around so won't feel the cold. Staff are welcoming. Amazing and delicious food. True authentic and traditional Chinese food. Highly recommend.

I have been here before lockdown. food is great and will back here again after lock down .

We had a fabulous family dinner. We were wanting a lovely authentic Cantonese meal for our 3 teens to try new foods. We had fabulous dimsum dumplings, spring rolls. Noodles veggie and chicken and sweet and sour chicken. We had so much food we shared. It was just great. Can't wait to come back next time we're in Birmingham.

quite nice overall but a few dishes taste like they weren’t made then and got like microwave taste

So craving for Dim Sum, thank you for the takeaway service. My family and I had a lovely dim sum lunch. Good food.

Service was good. Social distancing measures also good. Food was 'okay' but portion size is too small and the price is too high. Last time I visited was 10yrs ago.. I won't come back to try it out again for maybe another 10yrs.
