The food is pleasant and entirely edible but not in my opinion does not represent the best Chinese cuisine available in Launceston. Perhaps they were having an off day but when I went I was able to to deduce quite easily that they were using oil which was not fresh. There was a cloying taste in the chips which accompanied my sweet and sour meal. The sweet and sour was very good however. As an addendum.. I revisited the Chung Hong recently was pleasantly surprised I had the House Special Chow Mein and also a banana fritter.. Both were cooked to a much more acceptable standard than an earlier visit.. Is this the best Chow Mein available in Launceston.? Well on the day I was really pleased to be eating here and will go again.
Unfortunately this takeaway has decided to put up its prices significantly. For example, a pancake roll has increased from £2 to £2.40. Main dishes are almost all up by 40 pence. As a consequence I will no longer be using this takeaway which has been my local for the last 3 years.
Lovely food, well priced, occasionally a bit delayed when they are busy.
Used to be very nice but not anymore, food is flavourless and cold. Will not be returning.

Although tucked away in a corner under an arch, it is a superb takeaway.
