Story

We make fresh, authentic Mexican tacos - corn flour tortillas - with a range of delicious toppings, including homemade chilli salsas! Our shop (sit-in and takeaway) is at the top of Shields Road in Newcastle, opposite the Edinburgh bike cooperative. We also cater for private events (markets, festivals, parties, weddings) across the North East.

Hidden gem at the top of shields road. This place has literally got me thru lockdown. Lovely fresh tacos and the scotch bonnet salsa is hot but so tasty.
Proper Mexican food! This place would easily be our regular haunt if we live here. We had just driven 1600 miles all over the UK and found Chucho's by a random search on maps. So happy we did.
So good to have quality Mexican food on Shields Road. Pork burrito was the best thing this time, looking forward to eating there when we're allowed
Delicious tacos - punchy and fresh flavours. Beautiful guacamole! Friendly and super speedy service - perfect for lunch. Husband and I had 3 tacos each for £7 - very reasonable and just the right size portions. Really pleased with the range of gluten free options - I'm coeliac and it's so nice to have so much choice!! Will be back.
Visited Chuchos several times in their old premises and happy to see them upgrade into a larger building. Always thought their food was fantastic, so when I introduced some friends to them I was hoping they'd think the same. They did. We all thoroughly enjoyed our tacos which we ordered to take out.
Opting to start with nachos and quesadilla both arrived swiftly and were delcious, particularly the fresh zingy salsa. For main we all opted for 3 x tacos. I opted for pulled pork, pulled beef and chorizo. Again these arrived swiftly and were superb. Fresh flavours for sure. Prices are extremely reasonable as well.
Went here as our final prelockdown meal out and we were glad we did. The food is excellent, we particularly loved the battered cod taco - so so delicious. The drinks are good and strong too! Will definitely be going again.
