I cannot say enough good things about this place. We have been ordering for some time and visiting. The food is always so tasty and clean, not at all like you have eaten a takeaway. Recently we found out my mother has a gluten allergy and they were good enough to redo all the dishes we normally order with gluten free ingredients. It is a fantastic place that you should try!
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and has great friendly owners... The Malaysian Fried Rice is my personal favourite along with the prawn crackers... The fried rice although simple is filled with flavours out of the world... It is very delicious with king sized prawns.. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family members & friends! Will definitely go back soon for more tasty authentic Malaysian food..
Chuba Rusa offers some of the most amazing and authentic Malaysian food in London! We took a chance as we hadn't heard about them and ordered from Ubereats. It was a great decision and now we are regulars! They have meals for every palette, so if spicy food isn't for you then you will have many options in the menu. We order at least once a month and being a pescatarian it is perfect. Not only that but the portians are so big we often have a full meal for the following evening. I urge anyone who is even slightly interested to give this place a go!
This is a local gem! If you like Malaysian food then it's as authentic as it gets. The Beef Rendang is sublime. It's cooked to a very high standard with very fresh ingredients. I simply loved it. Those who joined me also felt their meals were equally as good and both starters and mains reasonably priced. A must for locals who want to support the independents and keep their spicy taste buds alive. There could be a wider choice of puddings and a little more reasonably priced and also the lighting could be dimmed slightly for better atmosphere. However that is nit picking as over all we'll be heading back there and adding to our list of local favourite restaurants since trying for the first time. This place does need local support and would be a real shame if their efforts aren't rewarded by at least trying it once to see for yourselves. Seriously have the beef rendang though!
Excellent chicken rendang at ChubaRasa. Truly succulent chicken with delicious sauce and perfect accompaniments!
i went to this restaurant with my friends last night. Very disappointed! My friend & i are Malaysians. We know what Malaysian food looks like, tastes like, etc.. Unfortunately, the food in this restaurant, there's nothing authentically Malaysian about it! My friend had beef rendang, we've tasted better. The rice dish my friend had came with peanuts on the side. Unfortunately the peanuts were gritty, she bit into small stones. The Korean lady at front of house, she had poor english. I showed her my taste card as we sat down at our table but when we asked for our bill later, our taste card discount wasn't included. I mentioned to the waiter i had shown the Korean waitress that I had a taste card & I expected a discount. He promptly came back with an A4 sheet with terms & conditions about service charge etc... Why show us the terms & conditions as we are about to pay? Surely we should know these conditions before we ordered our food. Won't be going back there in a hurry!!
Wish I could give this zero stars but it's not possible - it's genuinely the Faulty Towers of restaurants and they failed at every point of the restaurant experience. I called the restaurant at 7pm to make an order for delivery. The employee was very nice and gave me recommendations which I appreciated as I asked for the food to be spicy and for a choice between the salad and the soup. She asked if I'd like to pay by cash, which I said I would - conscious of the fact many small businesses pay fees for card transactions - and she said it would be 45 minutes. After an hour and 20 minutes I called and she said the driver was lost. The following hour's experience was more than a joke... 1. The driver suggested he normally goes to the apartments beside ours and couldn't fine ours 2. He didn't have enough change to give us - he blamed us for having too big of a note; he said he would take the money and bring back change which made us very uncomfortable so we suggested he take the food back and he could bring us back the proper amount with the food when he had it - he eventually left without taking money & said he would be back 3. We called the restaurant to reassure them that we were happy to pay but that the driver didn't have the right change - we were told that she only sent him with £10 as she assumed that's what he would need, which was very odd 4. We waited 40 minutes for the change to come back and as the whole situation had been quite stressful, we decided to wait to eat until we had everything sorted 5. The driver came back - somehow getting into our building without ringing the main door, so showed up at our door as a surprise - and gave us our change 6. When he left, we heated up our food only to discover the anchovies were missing from the Nasi Lamek, the containers was not even half filled, the rice wasn't coconut rice as stated and the salad sent was clearly the wrong one 7. I called the restaurant and explained the situation only to be told that I was 'wrong' on all points - the takeaway containers were too big as they had run out of 'small' ones so they could only fill them halfway...they had been out of anchovies for two weeks and forgot to tell me...the salad was the right one despite the fact I'd ordered 'Gado Gado' & checked the ingredients, it was clear that the salad they'd sent us had the same ingredients as another salad with apple & pineapple...it was inedible and went in the bin. I was told that the salad was 'how their customers like it' and that 'no one had ever complained because they make real food not like a normal Chinese takeaway'. Every point I mentioned, I was told it wasn't right, and it was clear they have no pride in what they do 8. Overall AVOID THIS RESTAURANT! A ridiculous amount of food, two hours of waiting, blame to the customer for not having the right money and for calling to explain the situation. The food advertised was not right. The meat was bone dry, the sauce way too sweet for Malaysian - I'm massively disappointed and I would not recommend anyone eat there!
Just visited with friends during the "eat out to help out scheme" decided to visit chaba rasa. I had reserved a table for 8pm got there at 7.55pm was yold my table us not ready so waited outside. Was called in at 8.20pm. Place was packed anyway had a limited menu. We ordered chicken gynozo at 8.30 and our starter came at 9.30pm we waited 1 whole hour for starters. They was two tables which walked out infront of us for waiting nearly waited 1 and half hour for food. The food quality was very poor. Service was very slow and very very bad. We received our main at 10.15pm will not be visiting again. Food was not up to standard yhe gynozo was deep fried with garden peas and sweetcorn not autentic at all.
Easily the best takeaway I have ever had. Me and my family once gave it a try and have never looked back since. They offer a clean takeaway that doesn't leave you feeling guilty afterwards. They are always reliable, I advise anyone thinking about giving them a try to do it now!
I had placed an order for delivery and the lady was very polite and kind. They were short of staff that evening and she requested if I could collect my order instead. We were very tired after a long flight and I had to ask the order to be cancelled. Knowing the situation she was willing to deliver the food to me if I could wait little longer than the usual time that they would need. It didnt take very long and the food arrived fresh and hot and it was delicious too. Thank you for the kind gesture.
