Story

Established in 1860 by James Christmas, The Christmas Bakery is a family run craft bakery business with a retail and wholesale operation. We have built our successful reputation on combining good quality traditional baking with good value for money and excellent customer service. If you visit our shop you'll find a treasure chest of delicious gems and mouth watering treats but we're most famous for our tasty traditional fresh loaves. We're always interested in new concepts and ideas so hope you'll share yours with us as our skilled bakers enjoy nothing but a baking challenge!

The place was very crowded when we attended. In spite of this, we were served in a very reasonable amount of time and the people were very friendly. I do not understand some of the low ratings that this place has received. They have fresh sandwiches and an excellent range of baked goods.nnThe only thing that I could suggest is to have some of the sandwiches with sliced cheese as opposed to grated. This is just a personal preference and I still give this place a five star rating because of its robust merits.nn***We recently attended this place on 23 December 2023. Most of the items had been sold, which speaks volumes about the impressive quality of the food and the excellent levels of customer service. The atmosphere is VERY friendly and I want to thank the excellent members of staff who work so hard to ensure that the goods are always displayed nicely and for treating their customers in such a lovely manner. I have also included a few videos in my review.***
Lovely pastries as ever, but PLEASE do better with ingredients & allergen info - both what you display and staff knowledge. A bit of customer service training would also help staff understand that treating customers as an inconvenience is not a good way to do business!
We visited The Christmas Bakery this morning after driving past and noticing the trailer in the car park serving up reasonably priced, delicious, breakfast baps. The staff Suzanne and Callum were very welcoming and attended to my dietary requirements and even made sure we were enjoying our food on the benches in the sun. We couldn’t help but take a look inside the bakery where we came across some of the best cakes and treats we’ve eaten. I can’t fault a single thing about this place, we will be returning with friends and family. Thank you all at The Christmas Bakery!
Hands down the best baked goods I have ever tasted and trust me, the women working here are as sweet as the treats themselves nThe great British bakery lives on in Worplesdon. Bravo
Lovely rolls, pies and cakes with good service and loads of parking. Been back a number of times since the original review and still enjoy the food there. The only additional point I'd make is get there early as they sell out quite fast
