Writing the review whilst still here. Starting with the food this was such a let down compared to previous visits. You can clearly see that the place has become complacent. No care or quality left of the food or place. Food was dried out and looks like what was left from the previous day and reheated. Salad what salad. There were around 2 scoops of sweetcorn all going brown , half of a lemon cut into slices which have become so dried that you can see it was never replenished. Lettuce going brown in the stagnant water. Six half moons of Cucumber if you think I'm exaggerating see the photos attached. Some pros the paya and the lamb curry was quite flavorful and the gulabjaman was quite nice but unfortunately for me thats where it ends. Upon nentry as payment was taken was told everything is out for the buffet. This was not the case as there was no Chinese or pasta no salad or and a dissapointing array of of leftover indian food. The dessert on offer was dissapointing apart from the gulabjaman as mentioned above. The halwa was dried and again look as though was not replenished or fresh. The shop bought tesco muffins and the cakes bought from the local tesco again was really dissapointing. All in all, a visit a trip charged @ £70 for 2 adults£19.99 each And 2 infants and 1 child aged 3,4, 8 at £10. drinks not including which are charged separately . We was given a complimentary bottle of coca cola after a mistake with taking payment . But doesn't suffice and unfortunately will not be returning What dissapoointing visit and definitely not worth the money.
I do not know what was it like reading the some of the reviews but came today and had Chicken Tikka, Chiken kebab and fish pakora absolutely amazing. I think the management has taken steps to enhance the food quality. The salad where I had olives and peri peri dip was mouth watering. The fresh orange juice made by the bar tender Infront of me was just the right drink with starters. Will definitely visit again to try the rest of the buffet line as I am as so full just with the starters. This place now is highly recommended if want desi food.
vile. walked in and had to demand a refund almost immediately. a big giveaway is the damp smell and emptiness on a weekend! i had been here before, years ago, and it's fallen into mad disrepair. I'm appalled and shocked. found flies IN THE FOOD, salaans looked very questionable and the salad was perfectly off. since i can't give zero stars, i have to give one, which is actually ridiculous. couldn't take photos of the food bc i walked out too quickly.
The food was lovely. Really underrated. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Really enjoyed my meal with family. Will come again soon. Vegetarian options: Have veg curry Lentils and dhaal Kid-friendliness: Are really friendly
Been to Chaudrys many times before but won’t be returning after my experience today. Food was awful quality. No where near the same selection as it used to be before. Cold/empty dishes. No proper serving spoons or bowls. And on top of it all, awful service. Lady at the front who said she was ‘in charge’ had absolutely no idea what she was doing. She refused to provide a number or email for higher management or managers or her own name. None of these things are feasible for a well operating business. Unfortunately seems the restaurant has gone downhill under new management. Don’t see it staying opened much longer.
Grill FOOD was GOOD. I've been here few times and like to bring to the knowledge of management that there is not enough staff . But the available one was good. I've noticed only 2 young guys taking orders cleaning floor clearing tables bringing food to tables which is not fair with them and not good for business. Saving one staff salary and losing a lot of business will never be justified
Absolutely disgusting place. So dirty, cracked plates, no mention of what the food was. Fruit was mouldy and watermelon was sticky. Rice was sticky, food smelt. It definitely was not fresh food!. Chairs were ripped and tables were dirty. The manager was bossing the waiters about but she was sitting down on her phone eating the disgusting buffet. I did not go to the toilets but was told by my husband, they were filthy. I would never go back to the place and tell people to stay away. The buffet cost £60 in total and we left hungry
Lovely place went with friends and had a great laugh. Our host I believe her name was Flora she was lovely and very accommodating. Definitely recommend this place. Food was amazing and best of all it’s all you can eat.
If you’ve read all of the bad reviews of this restaurant down below then I can definitely vouch and say that they were definitely right. The only good thing and probably give 2 stars to would be the staff as they were very welcoming apart from that everything was a total waste of money and time. This is most probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life! The place was dirty, there was this little insect flying about on our table and it eventually landed in my glass of water. The rice was dry and the food was cold, it seemed as if everything was from the leftovers since yesterday or in the morning, apart from the kebabs. I was looking forward to the desert section but there wasn’t much choice, very disappointed. Me and family were planning to do an Eid celebration with all my relatives but we have definitely changed our minds, should have asked for a refund.
First time here. Spacious place with lots of interesting dishes to try. A Special thank to the beautiful Flory for greeting me so nicely and for the welcome drink. I really appreciated it
