Chairs more comfortable than Preston. As well as general aesthetic its more modern.nnThere is black mould in men's bathroom. Health hazard..nnThe doors to bathrooms should be automatic or taken off completely, they are very sticky and not nice to touch. As well as the soap machine and water it should be automatic.
It was not a huge one. But it has toilets facilities.nThere is a canteen and wheelchair accessible entrance. Quiet spacious, and there are displays about the bus numbers and schedule time boards.
great accessible bus station, recently had a facelift, new toilets and facilities are excellent. on site cafe, newsagents, travel info and inpost lockers
This links the bus station to the local railway station. The terminus is big and clean. If you don't know which bus you need there is a board with advice. There is also a loo. There is a basic shop on the premises. And a small cafe. To find the Chorley Arcade just walk through the close by B&M to the other side. B&M has snacks if required. There are seats. The buses are regular incoming and out going 20-25 or so minutes on work days. Every hour on Sundays. Check a timetable, available there. At the moment, the flat fee for all destinations reachable by these yellow coloured Bee Network buses is £2.00. This could go up 50% up to £3.00 soon. There are busses here going to Preston, Bolton, Blackburn, and Southport and others. The buses I have used are clean, and the drivers are pleasant. A driver I observed talked in a thoughtful manner to a disabled passenger. Recently, an industrial dispute has stopped the buses. Use the www to keep informed for bus travel suspension news. As if required, with a bus strike, you can find the taxi rank nearby on High Street, close to the Chorley Town Hall all in a line on this road. I used this when a driving accident caused by a trainee bus driver coming from Standish suspended the bus.
I had to get to Chorley hospital from the railway station. The bus station was visible and easily accessible across a main road equipped with pedestrian crossings. The buses were clearly signed with covered waiting bays for each. The drivers were polite and helpful. No problems.
