Dinner with girlfriends at Chop was amazing last night!! We did the food and wine pairing and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great date night, couples night or friends night. Meagan McDonald and Andrew Whitney were incredible hosts and took time to explain the pairings in detail. Food and wine selections were so good and not choices I would normally make. Looking forward to doing it again in the fall!!
Went to the Chop Steakhouse for the first time last night. What a wonderful experience. Our server was so friendly and polite. She was very attentive without being over baring. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I have never had a better steak in my life. Cooked to perfection with a flavorful crust served with a side of the most buttery creamy bernaise sauce; delicious. But what we all agreed was the most appealing was their basket of charity bread. What a great way to give back to the community while enjoying a warm loaf of bread. It just felt good. Overall, highly recommend. Not a single complaint!
I usually go to the keg for steak, but i decided here tonight with my wife and i am glad i did. We had the smoked rib eye and the miso salmon both were excellent. The appetizers were great as well. The service was very good. Only thing that could have been better is their pineapple upside down cake, if the cake softer it would have been perfect. Regardless we had a great time and now is the go to steak house for me in London.
I bring my family and friends here for special occasions. Me and my spouse had our three year anniversary and everyone who works here made it amazing!! Started off with chilli garlic shrimp and their prime rib sandwich. Had a cherry blossom mojito and a Tony Mendez to go with it. They took the bone in rib eye off of the menu recently and that’s what we usually order, but they were able to get us some boneless rib eyes the ones they use for their smoked rib eye and they were just as good! We also ordered the Chop Mule on tap and the pink lemonade to go with our steaks and they were so flavourful and tasty. My favourite thing about their alcoholic beverages is that they’re not overly sweet and sugary, they have the perfect balance of flavour, sweetness and alcohol. We finished off our night with the cheesecake the sauce is to die for and crème brûlée. The manager Andrew was absolutely amazing and he remembered us from our previous visits. Super friendly and down to earth. Even remembered my parents who I brought there two years ago and asked how they were doing. Our waiter was super quick and very helpful. She wasn’t hovering and we never lacked anything. All in all, for our three course meal it only took about an hour and a half. Went home with lots of leftovers to snack on later. Whenever someone asks for my favourite steakhouse, I always say Chop. I’ve been coming here for over 5 years to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries, and I don’t think I’ve ever left disappointed. My steak is always cooked perfect. Also, their happy hour pricing is an absolute steal for apps and drinks.
I had the prime rib for lunch and it was excellent, by the time I'd decided to write a review it was already gone. I've attached a photo of the aftermath anyway. Service was fantastic, we showed up with 5 adults, a toddler and an infant. We moved from booth to booth trying to find a comfortable space, and the staff helped with each move. Since the private room was free our waiter offered to let us use it, and helped us move all the furniture. Our whole group had an excellent meal, and the service coolant have been better.
I went to Chop tonight to celebrate a friends birthday and what a great experience. The food was good but overall our server Keith made the experience for us!! He was welcoming, polite, and kept us updated when there was a delay with the food. We will definitely be going back
Was here for my Anniversary dinner, let me tell you they know how to go above and beyond to make sure the night was special. The prime rib was spot on, the service was outstanding, and they even gave us a signed card by all employees working that night. Places like this set the bar so high, not many can match. If you’re looking for a good night out for a special occasion, you have to try this location.
I ordered the Steak and Lobster. It was amazing. We also had the Lobster Chowder, plus escargot to start. I wasn't a fan of the escargot but the Lobster Chowder oh my... Delicious. I actually told them the escargot wasn't great and they removed it from our bill. Our server was wonderful and very polite. My meal was perfect and tasted fantastic. I will be ordering this again, minus the escargot!!
I have always had a pleasant experience at Chop! I absolutely love the staff, they always are very welcoming and attentive. The food is to die for! I love the smoked ribeye, they have many wonderful sides and all the deserts are amazing. I normally do not leave reviews but this resturant deserves a wonderful review and would definitely recommend! Parking: Ample parking.
As someone has posted the steak is better than The Keg. Definitely a five star dinner. For service I would give higher than a five star if I could. The most friendly and courteous staff in London. We were given a personal card for our anniversary signed by the staff. Amazing, thank you Victoria.
