Soooo nice and the price is reasonable. When my friend and I arrived there was no table available, staffs give us the menu and told us wait for some time kindly. I ordered the triple beef and Chinese roasted duck. The noodles tasted nice chewy texture. I wish I could come here everyday
Liked the food and beer. Waitresses were helpful to show you what's on the menu. There are many student accommodation buildings near to the area so I can see 90% of those customers were Asian students when we were there. The vibe is young.Food: 5/5
I wanted to leave a review of a disappointing experience. But firstly, I must say that their food is amazing! As a frequent patron of at least once a week, I can confidently say that their rice noodle soup is genuinely authentic, and the beef tripe is simply awesome. However, the reason for my review is a somewhat disappointing service. There's only one big table at the back of the restaurant with three benches but only two ways to get out. During busy hours, they tend to seat as many guests as possible, which is understandable. However, on one occasion, I was seated on one side of the table with another couple seated opposite. While I was enjoying my noodles, the restaurant staff tried to seat three other guests on the inside bench. This meant that I had to get up and move out to let them in, which was quite frustrating. Additionally, these new guests kept taking turns going to the toilet and coming back, while one of them even went out to the counter to place an order. While they were very polite, it was still an annoying experience. Despite this, I would still recommend this place for its excellent food. I do hope they stop seating three groups of people at the back table to prevent similar experiences in the future. Overall, I really love their food and will continue to visit. Thank you. I had beef flank as a lunch at this restaurant, the beef and noodle texture were nice, the food also came really quickly so it’s good for a quick lunch. The portion was quite decent so it’s a value for money. However the one thing that I didn’t like was the soup, not with the taste but I found it too greasy for me which is pretty obvious from my photo.
Definitely an authentic rice noodle place. The taste is just right in seasoning - not too salty yet not too flavourless. I particularly like the pickles they put along side with the noodles - exactly the same as the dish is served in its original place! I would say it’s probably one of the best rice noodle places you could find in London. Let alone the service is excellent as well. Recommend the pork rib noodles. It’s tender, soft, and scrumptious
Great place for a quick noodle fix! The service was nice and the food came out quickly. Between 2, we shared the large size beef shin and flank noodle soup as well as the pork ribs and we were full! One feedback is to have more vegetables in the noodle soup but otherwise, it was a tasty meal!
My wife and I were invited to Chew Fun for a Chinese New Years celebratory meal by a dear friend, who being much younger and living in London, had picked this place out. Upon entering we found out our friend was stuck in the tube, but one of the hosts made sure we found a seat in this fairly small space. I loved the home made seating made from recycled wooden pallets, they were surprisingly comfortable for two meter tall me. I don't remember the names of what we ate, except we all had something different along with a side of duck and some amazingly tasty hot sauce. The chef brought out our food and talked and laughed with us for a minute before returning to their very busy kitchen. If you're looking for a quiet night out, this isn't it. If you want hot and tasty bowls of wonderfully spiced noodles in a fun and hip environment, come eat at Chew Fun, we loved it!
I miss proper guilin-style rice noodles smuch, especially the non-soup version, and amazingly found this shop. Lots of toppings available. The rice noodle and pickle bean is decent. You can add extra sides/toppings if you'd like which is nice.
Excellent food! Ordered 2 triple beef with extra lettuce. Beef flank is very soft and it tastes great! They really care about consumer experience and they have strong attitude for improving!
I got the chicken and mushroom fun with a side of tripe and it was absolutely delicious. The portion is massive and very filling. I haven’t always been a big fan of rice noodles but these were delicious. The tripe was cold and I would’ve preferred it warm but it was still nice. It is a bit expensive and on busy days there is a really long wait. I ordered on Uber eats and was only able to get my order 20 minutes after it was supposed to be ready for collection. The food made up for this though and I was really impressed. I will definitely order or visit again on a less busy day.
