Walked in on my day off to get a turmeric latte but no turmeric in stock so i ordered the beetroot latte for the first time. It was made with oat milk and was presented very well with a nice design on top. The latte was delicious and would purchase it again for €3.80. Chocolate brown is located on the mainstreet of Portlaoise and has a nice layout and vibey place to sit and relax with a coffee. Will return again!!!
I would buy my coffee here. Really great staff and comfortable. Unpretentious too which is warming.

This small unassuming coffee shop was a real delight to find as we passed through Portlaoise a few weeks ago. The coffee was delicious & so was the food. The very friendly young man who served us had just made the most delicious chicken pesto wraps - & he gave us the recipe. Seated outside in the tranquil surroundings on a warm Sunday lunchtime was just bliss. This young man deserve 10 out of 10 for hospitality, efficiency & mouth watering chicken pesto wraps.!!

Favourite coffee shop. Staff are always great!
A great range of coffee and treats both sweet and savoury. The staff are also welcoming and so helpful. Tropical smoothie is the way to go in the summer, and in the winter you cannot beat their mochas. They have something for everyone with meaty breakfast croissants and deli choices, to vegetarian wraps and 'sausage' rolls, and gluten free options as well.
