This is the place for a hot chocolate. Had a cup of dark chocolate. Awesome. Huge selection of chocolate. Coffee and cold drinks available too. Lovely decor.Food: 5/5
Interesting Victorian style café with a range of chocolate drinks, coffee and tea. The chocolate drinks are very good, if a little sickly. A must visit place, great if you've travelled over from Portsmouth by hovercraft.Food: 5/5
The family at AtlasAdventured recommends coming here! Amazing place for drinks! The name caught my eye, the inside of the restaurant made me want to stay all day, but the hot chocolate is what stole the show. We ordered a few coffee drinks, which were so delicious, but the kids' hot chocolate was the best. It’s more of a drinking chocolate, thick and rich but not too sweet. It’s in a great location, right on the esplanade and directly across from the bus and train stations. Cute interior and very clean. They have beautiful chocolates for sale and a great selection of baked goods. We only came for the drinks, but next time we’ll get some delicious looking bakes! Kid-friendliness: They offer different versions of kids hot chocolate
Beautiful cafe. Hot chocolate was lovely and staff were so kind :Food: 5/5
Popped into the Chocolate Apothecary in Ryde. What a lovely atmosphere and decor. The coffee and obligatory cake were delicious. And they sell lots of wonderful goodies to take home; Belgium Chocolates, Chocolate assortments, liquorice, nougat and more. Definitely worth popping in.Food: 5/5
Recommend the chilli hot chocolate. Very different experience! There’s definitely heat in there, but not quite as lingering as you’d think for a chilli title.Food: 4/5
Old French bistro feel, chocolate heaven. I ordered an oat milk hot chocolate and a brownie. Both were divine. I’m salivating thinking about them. Highly recommended. Parking available outside or on union street. I believe the cool high tables they have inside originate from the first Costa in London… fun fact. I want one!!
Probably the best hot chocolate I have had, ever. This beautiful place is not to be missed while in Ryde, right at the Esplanade. The staff is nice and warm as their signature hot chocolates. The collection to buy is impressive and the eat-in options are addictive.
Average hot chocolate, very nice location near sea. But really pushy overwhelming staff, there's a huge menu of drinks, we were getting takeaway so needed time to choose but three members of staff were pushing. I wish we'd left without getting anything tbh!Food: 3/5
Quite a disappointing interaction with a member of staff today. We frequent the Isle of White often, and usually the chocolate shop is the first stop. We went in with our children today, and whilst I was at the counter deciding on our purchase our kids were sat at the table quietly entertaining themselves with my wife playing with the sugar packets. Without any word an elder gentleman member of staff came to the table and snatched them off my son, my wife commented ‘obviously we would have put them back before we left’ and he aggressively replied ‘well problem solved now’. Not only this, after making our purchase we were stood on the pavement outside packing our things away into our pram and he stood in the doorway staring at us as if we were some gang of miscreants about to cause a nuisance. Even the other members of staff were overheard asking him what his problem was. I wish I hadn’t spent any money there to be honest, and certainly won’t be again. Can I suggest sir, if you don’t like children in your presence, a chocolate shop probably isn’t the ideal work environment for you? So rude, I’m sorry but we won’t be back. Kid-friendliness: Not at all. Very rude member of staff.
