First time here after doing a bit of research on chippys. Slightly out of the way & up a side street. I would say definitely worth the walk. Very nice chips & good portion size. Next time I'm in the area this will definitely be my plaice to go.
Honest to God the best fish n chips we've ever had! Also had the quarter pounder cheeseburger which was absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back again!

Best chips I've ever had from a chippy! The fish was nice but the batter a bit thick for my liking. The staff are very nice and friendly and the owner very kindly offered my 2 kids a free drink each. Overall, a great chippy.
Fish is flaky, batter crispy. The chips are lovely. Food for 5 came to under £30. I would recommend getting there when it opens because we got there at 5pm and as we were leaving the queue kept getting bigger. Seems very popular.
We had fish and chips from this restaurant on the 16th of September 2022 and I must say they were first class. Very very crispy chips and lovely fresh fish. This is definitely a must go place for tremendous food. The portions are extremely generous and a very very good value for money.
Lovely staff and great food. I would definitely go here again and I can see why they have won so many awards. Definitely far better than an average fish and chip shop.
Everything I've had in there has been cooked to order, so always safe in the knowledge of good quality and fresh food. Friendly staff, huge portions, absolutely spotless inside. It's no wonder they've won so many awards.Food: 5/5
Visited this plaicesorry because of the decent write ups. After waiting over 45 minutes I was expecting a 10/10 meal. I shouldn't of bothered! The fish was saturated in fat and made me feel gippy until the next day. Not sure if it was the norm,but it ruined a otherwise decent fish chips n peas.
Probably the best fish and chips I've ever eaten, beautiful soft flakey cod, deep gold crispy batter, no soggy bits, then the chips.........boom! Hot, fluffy and crisp, not a single one was anything less than perfection. It's the first time we have visited Chish 'n' fips but it definitely won't be the last. Superb food, definitely five stars
