What an amazing experience. The staff was very pleasant and curtious. The food was served fast and tasted extraordinarily exceptional. Compliments to chef for such an amazing experience. The food melted in our mouth and nothing tasted like it was microwaved or reheated. It tasted fresh. I'm really amazed every time I come to this place I never leave a review and every time I leave this place also feel like coming again. This time 5/5 for customer services, excellent service and tasty food. Thank you for the staff and especially chef.
I think it depends on the day and time you go my experience of a slow day at this restaurant food and service was excellent however the busy times the wait and the service was non existent, I mean how long after the dishes was removed you had to wait to pay a bill. Good plus free dessert or drink if you go there for your birthday.
Nice clean, friendly staff, food was decent. My only disappointment was the garlic bread with cheese has appeared to change to some soft thin round bread with cheese on it, which was a bit salty and not as great as the old garlic bread chiquitos used to do the last time I went was early 2018 which was a highlight for me to go to their restaurants re the garlic bread with chees it felt like a *money saving excercise* it’s probably for all the chiquitos but just disappointing as was my fave thing their. Bring back the old style garlic bread with cheese please I beg.
Weekday lunch, so rather quiet. Think there were two other tables occupied when we went. Great service though as a result! There was a lunch time menu, but we opted for the regular menu instead. Food was decent in general, much like any other in the chain. The garlic king prawn fajitas were really good!
I went there yesterday with my partner as we hadn't been there in nearly a year, and we could see why to be honest. It's good for sharing platters and MAYBE sides but I wouldn't go out of my way for dessert or mains again as food quality has certainly slipped. Service was pleasant enough but very slow. Had to ask for drinks and to even pay our bill. Not once did anyone check if we wanted anything else to go with the starters/mains i.e. Sauces as basic courtesy when we had our courses or for any more drinks. Bill was £57 but I luckily got it reduced with my voucher cos I didn't think it was worth even that. We could have easily left without paying and no one would have noticed, that's how slow service was!
+Colourful, decently-portioned and well-executed menu. +Helpful and friendly service/atmosphere. -The staff were quite untimely in delivering the orders - we were there for two hours in total 6:30pm - 8:30pm, having to wait half an hour to have our orders taken once we were seated, also waiting for a similar length of time to receive an order of two strawberry margaritas whilst our mains were being cooked. In addition, we overheard three disgruntled customers voicing concerns to staff in regards to similar issues. Despite the issues stated, we had a good time, and would recommend Chiquito's to a friend, as long as they remain mindful of the aforementioned waiting times.
Very loud. Extremely slow service. Food is fine.
The cocktails were very good it was happy hour but the food was very disappointing. The tortillas that came with the chicken fajitas £11.95+50p for BBQ sauce were 'unlimited' but there was so little filling that I managed to fill two wraps and gave the third tortilla wrap to my husband. He used it to bulk out his small and bland prawn jambalaya! Luckily, during the meal, I found a voucher online that gave us 50% off mains otherwise we would have been very sad. I felt sorry for the waiting staff as there were only two of them and it was quite busy.
Genuinely one of the worst, smallest meals I've had ever. My son's kid chicken 4.99 was bigger than my tacos 10.99. The table across from us had their order messed up 3 or 4 times. Least they got theirs comped. I had to pay over £30! I genuinely went over the road and had a big Mac for dessert!
Was surprised reading the reviews about poor service here, we experienced nothing of the sort. Brilliant service from attentive staff, very nice food and reasonably priced. Nice environment to chill out with friends and/or family and the 2-4-1 cocktails are an added bonus.
