¡Hola amigos! Being the UK's biggest and most loved Tex-Mex restaurant, we know a thing or two about good food and drink. Our range of Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes have been making mouths water for over 25 years – from mild to wild, we’ve got every flavour! If you’re in the mood for sizzling fajitas, bursting burritos, or tender fall-off-the-bone ribs, you’ve come to the right place. First visit here but won't be the last. We ordered the Enchilada's in hot and volcano sauce and were delicious. Large bottles of corona 710ml! Staff were really friendly and the toilet facilities were clean. Recommended
Ate here during a trip to Durham. My 3 star rating is pretty much that high as the food was good. It was a Saturday evening so fairly busy but even taking that into account the service was at first non existent and then chaotic at best. We got a free drink each and used a taste card so value for the quality of food was excellent, but I’d have thought it pricey had it not been subsidised. Have to say the staff were as friendly as they were in efficient so still left a tip.
Really enjoyed our experience at Chiquito, food was good quality and very tasty! Bit pricey but well worth it and the strawberry mojito was to die for! Will definitely be returning
We go here with the Tastecard and are able to get 2 starters and 2 mains for no more than £25. The food is above average but for the price it's fine. The staff are sometimes good, sometimes poor. Nevertheless we still enjoy eating here every now and then but the food has definitely gone downhill. P.s. Cheese Tortilla starter is a 10/10.
Went for Taco Tuesday. Seated straight away, not many people in 1 table. Got drinks quickly, ordered quick. We did not over order just to see how much food arrived. 3 Taco,s each, not big 1 fries, 1 onion rings. Food arrived quick, nice n hot. It was really nice, the waiter/ server came to see how thing's were." Great thank you." Then nothing. A few more customers turned up. But definitely not busy. Server wandered about at front of restaurant, but nobody came back to us to A. see if we wanted anything else, or B. Clear away dirty dishes. After nearly 30 mins of waiting for someone, we left without reordering more food. Not the best service .
Service slow today despite not being busy, no signs of any management. Our server was more interested in flirting with the guy behind the bar. 15 to 20 minutes before we got asked if we wanted drinks. 35 minutes before someone took our food order.
Really nice and chilled restaurant, plenty of soft seated booths and well spread out tables which offered privacy as well as comfort. Great place to try Mexican food with different levels of spiciness that can be selected for each option. If you get a chance, try the "orange" beer, quite sweet and a refreshing change to the norm. Service was quick, polite and helpful - I'd recommend.
I'm not a big fan, the food is always just "ok" and last time I was there, they completely messed our bill up.
Another good meal at reasonable prices. You cant go wrong if you enjoy Mexican food
Honestly an amazing restaurant, the staff were friendly, there was a good atmosphere with music playing and hats you can wear on the walls. A great place to go with your girlfriend. The food is also amazing, I had a fajita and it was very tasty, good value for money too.
