Been there lunch time, ordered 3 course meal, another option from vegetarian mains, drinks. Food took lot of time, but taste was great and top notch. Service was courteous. Presentation and atmosphere was great. It's not halal so had to do with V options which is a bummer but overall great dine in experience. We were told they are closing in few weeks which is a shame as it was great mexican restaurant in area.
We visited Chiquito’s at Birstall on New Years Day. I have been on a few occasions in the past, so I thought I would add my review. In this specific experience everything went relatively smoothly, the restaurant was quiet as you would expect on the 1st January. The dishes within the pictures are Nachos, Southern Fried Chicken & BBQ Pulled Pork and Paella, which were cooked reasonably well. The service was relatively steady and I would probably visit again. The style is quite unique with the hanging bottles and the upbeat Mexican theme, albeit this may not necessarily suit every occasion. However, if your looking for a family friendly place with strong flavours which is not so strict on the dress code for example, then it’s a good option.
Very tasty food and the staff were so friendly. Liam served us, great service. Going again on a few weeks after we've been to the cinema.Food: 5/5
Welcoming & friendly staff. As it was late, and with all new normal rules, we were worried, we wouldn't be able to get in. But, surprise - we were welcomed with heart warming smile. Seated pretty much straight as we got in, food was served quick and we enjoyed our visit. The food on my plate definitely intrigued, some one who was sat in next table to ours. So, if you haven't already tried - chimichangas are definitely worth trying. Happy Eating.. :
Average food at an expensive price. The halloumi cheese was over cooked and extremely salty, it didn’t really add much to the burger. The burger buns were dry. As above, it wasn’t bad but expected a bit more.
Not bad. Cool hats to mess around with. £17 per main. Seems quite expensive for what it is. But good tasty food. Good service.Food: 4/5
Absolutely lovely, we went around 6pm on a Wednesday evening, drove over 10 miles to get there and there was about 11 tables in at the time. We were seated straight away and a few minutes later our server came to ask about drinks. We had a Groupon voucher so we were ready to order our meal at the same time as our drinks . Our starters came quickly, meal shortly arrived after our starter plates were cleared. Our server was efficient and pleasant. This is such a contrast to our last visit a couple years ago where our meals took over an hour and were cold when we finally received them, the manager did sort it out by buying our meals minus drinks but we vowed never to return as this happened once before...we thought it was just a bad night on our previous visit. I'm happy to see that this particular Chiquitos has sorted staff issues and or management out. Chiquitos is our favourite Mexician style restaurant to go too so thank you for the wonderful experience... keep up the good work!
Absolutely fantastic food! Everything was just perfect, from the blend of flavours to the portion sizes. Service was also great. Highly recommend it! PS: the tacos come in portions of 3 but they were too delicious, so I had already eaten one when I remembered to take a photo
Great food friendly staff and what can I say really good food Parking: Good car park Kid-friendliness: Yeah good children portion are big good size meal
Been to Chiquito many times in many different locations. Personally I am not a big fan of Mexican food basically just can’t stand the spice but still can always find something to order from the menu. I would say the food quality is improved over years. A nice friendly place for a quick meal and won’t break your bank too :
