Mission

Chicken is a truly global food. At Chiquen, as you've guessed we love chicken however it comes. But we particularly like it grilled. So when we set up our restaurants it was to offer everyone the chance to eat great chicken cooked to succulent perfection a fire grill.
We are constantly trying out different recipes from across the world because our aim is to bring you back the best from our journeys.

Products

Our Chicken - At Chiquen all of our chickens come from happy little chicken farms in East Anglia produced by British farmers who care about their product which is always fresh and never frozen. All our chickens are Halal.

Our Marinade - At Chiquen all of our chickens are marinated in our unique recipe to ensure that we get the flavour right through and deliver a juicy succulent bird every time. In fact our chickens are so tasty that you can eat them simply fire grilled.

Our Sauces - At Chiquen our sauces are made freshly in small batches in our chiqui kitchen to ensure freshness as we do not use any artificial ingredients. You can choose to have one of our world inspired sauces to have basted on to your chicken, it's your choice.

Churros with Dulce De Leche was the best of these trio of desserts. The Churros were nice’n’crunchy on the outside and beautifully soft therein. Often you get Churros almost competing with the choc sauce for sweetness. Here, the balance was about right. The Caramel Ice Cream looked the part, but could have been better had the popcorn been crispier. The salted caramel was well balanced. Nothing to rave about though. As for the Baked Chocolate Fudge Cake then, sadly, it was average at best. Texturally it was grainy and slightly on the stodgy side. Needed to be far more delicate. THE CHURROS ARE THE BEST! I’ve been to Spain and I’ve had churros there and this comes very close!! I’m a regular as the food is delicious and great value. Customer service is superb!
Really sad to see that this restaurant is no longer open. Had the pleasure of dining there on numerous occasions and always left satisfied. Definitely some of the best chicken I've eaten, grilled to perfection and still succulent. Such a shame to see it gone.

Loved the food, pretty much get everything you would get from Nando's, only down was the rice. Apart from that good food good service smiley staff
Visited this branch today and opted to have the lunch deal which was a chicken wrap with fries and a drink for £5.99. What a TOTAL LET DOWN!! The wrap had an insufficient amount of chicken and was bulked up with a few fries and covered in BBQ sauce giving a false impression. In addition the food was lukewarm. The manager was quite abrupt and his staff not so friendly so on that basis I won't be returning back to this restaurant again. There are far better restaurants within the area that will deliver a much better service all round.
I have been a regular customer at Chiquen and have had lunch there during my maternity leave. The chicken is always tasty and yummy and the fire fries are delicious. The staff are friendly and you can take kids. However on my recent trip with my boys and mum the staff were slow. They forgot about us. The chicken was tasty as usual but the corn on the cob was not fresh. I would recommend the place as the price is reasonable and food is good.
A chicken restaurant not unlike Nandos, the food is good and the selection of sauces are lovely. I really enjoy the sauces and wish they were available commercially but sadly they're not. The restaurant itself is quite big, but clean nonetheless. The staff are usually very nice, there are 1 or 2 sourpusses but they don't detract from it all overall. Worth visiting if you're in the area and fancy flavourful chicken also try the Lemonade slushies!.
Ate here with my partner on a Saturday afternoon and found it not too busy. We were sat straightaway and served almost immediately. They had a great £10 deal which included half a chicken with 2 sides. I got the single brioche chicken burger with bbq sauce. Both our meals were fantastic and the portion sizes were generous. It was a nice touch being able to see our food being prepared and it arrived fairly quickly. We had a slight problem ordering drinks though.. After a discussion with the waiter about whether I wanted an alcoholic drink or not which I did I did not receive any, being told by the waitress that my drink had been cancelled! The mango no.5 tasted really nice, once I finally received it! However, we realised that we had been charged for 2!! This was taken off without any hassle. The meals and drinks were great, the ambience was very nice and it was great value for money. The only thing letting them down was the service. Not only for what was mentioned above but they did not once check to see if everything was ok with us.
Tasty and spicy as spicy should be. The feel is good of the place. Came here with wife and 1 year old daughter, she enjoyed the crayons. Staff were attentive although it weren't very busy when we came. Can see myself coming here more in the future.
