This is a gem of a fish 'n chip shop. I have gluten free requirements within the household, and they offer gluten free all the time, and it's as good as the wheaty stuff. And they have always got my order right. There's an in crowd of locals, and I'm not in it, but the staff are polite and friendly. It's my go to when we visit my parents.
Bit more expensive than similar places in this town, but usually good quality. Unfortunately on the last visit, the fish haddock was pretty uninspiring, bit tasteless and lacklustre batter. Also the large portion of chips is significantly smaller than their competitors small portions. I don't mind paying more, but when the food isn't as good and the portions stingy, it's a bit of a problem.
Lovely white fish, well cooked. Very busy had 20+ mins for fish and chips to be served. Haven't seen such a long queue for many years. Recommend to give this shop a try. Unfortunately we don't live near. Just visitingFood: 4/5

Nice place good fish n chips, sausages and haddock great. also a play area outside and a corner shop. The parking is getting a problem for the chippy lots of vehicles that are parked there all the time big white vans not parked overly well. It does put me off going here. Plus the car park is very dark not much lighting.
Excellent takeaway tonight. Not too much batter on the fish. Plenty of meat in the kebab. Crispy onion rings. Quick and friendly staff.Food: 5/5
I thought the chips could've been a bit crisper on the outside. The kids had no complaints about their scampi suppers.
Well if you want the best fish and chips Haverhill have to offer then you just know that going to The Chippy is right for you I mean look at this plateful I'm about to enjoy the best tenner I could spend on large cod and chips time to enjoy.
