The fish and chips are tasty and good portions Service is perfunctory- but it's a takeaway chip shop - not the Ritz. They are polite and service is fast. Atmosphere ... stupid to rate this at a chippy to be honest!
Admittedly, I think I was the last customer for the evening so there may have been an element of getting rid of what was left. The portions were very big which was lovely we were even given an extra piece of fish but the food just didn't taste nice. The chips were very chewy and the fish was dry. 1 star review is based purely on the taste quality of the food. The team were friendly.

Visited here whilst on holiday, lovely polite staff and the food was lovely too! The shop takes card payments which was useful.

I got cod and chips the chips were dry and hard pre cooked and the fish not sure if it’s bought from icelands not your normal fresh fish you would get not going back
This was my first visit on recommendation. Everything is cooked fresh, but we were kept waiting over 20 minutes because he had a big order 5 large fish & chips! and i watched yesterdays chips being scraped from a tray into the cooking oil for us. The fish itself standard size was excellent, but needless to say 90% of the chips went into the bin because they were hard and overcooked! I will give them a second chance at some time in the future.
bought a large chips, it was full of small bits and hardly any decent chips. very dry.
Amazing fish and chips. Crispy batter not to thick and not greasy. Chips crispy on outside soft inside. Use boxes now not paper. Missed this as moved away six years ago remember it as awesome it still is run still by the same family. Wonderful.
My favourite chip shop ever , one of the best fish and chips i have ever eaten always served with a smile really friendly and welcoming staff . I will always recommend the Chip inn
