Haven't ordered here from years and realised why when food was delivered. Used their website, ordering was easy and food arrived in an hour, which is fab on a Friday night.  Hot and sour soup wasn't hot, wasn't sour, tasted like gloopy bland gravy abd had very little meat.  Pic attached.  Salt and pepper wings had no seasoning, and were overcooked.  Sweet and sour chicken balls had slightly soggy batter, again, chicken was a bit tough and you get a TINY pot of sauce. Generous portion and only edible item.  Singapore vermicelli was mostly noodles, very little meat and not flavoured or spicy  Banana fritters were OK but the watered down syrup had a weird soapy aftertaste.  Won't order again.

Paid for delivery, due road works and a small diversion they then refused to deliver. Then said they would “when they felt the best time would be” and wanting double the delivery fee. Shame really as the food is normally good, the attitude of Helen on the phone was a disgrace.

£50 plus and nothing free no crackers nothing. Bit tight that  Food ok, not the best in Runcorn will stick to Dolphin.  Parking: It&#39;s free

Would highly recommend as one of the best in Runcorn. Food is delicious. A really good choice in fact you are spoiled for choice.

We ordered, 2 meals and 2 starters, Tom Yum soup was lovely so was the Singapore Vermicelli, but the salt and peppers chicken wings were very dry, hard and far too much salt had been added, they went in the bin. the Roasted Duck Foo Yung was tasteless with no seasoning at all, half of that went in the bin, will be giving Chinese Open Kitchen a rest for a long while I think.

Amazing  Chinese takeaway! I had a tofu meal and it was one of the best takeaways I've had in a long time. The food is cooked well. Full of flavour and tastes delicious. I chose a click and collect. The meal was ready on time and still hot when I got home The place itself looked bright and clean, I highly recommend

Ordered takeaway last extremely disappointed. Rice very stodgy minimal amount of meat in dishes. Rice tasted burnt and the whole meal was tasteless. Worst Chinese I have ever tasted literally.

First time ordering from this takeaway and I was feeling a little dubious because it was a busy night and I needed to request vegan food as opposed to vegetarian -  I needn't have worried... the chef was amazing when explaining what we could have made vegan and every dish we eventually ordered 5 was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful and I now have a new favourite takeaway
