I thought I’d give this one a go, how I regret that!!! Disgusting service, took my food to wrong door, like how does 8 sound like 11?? The driver spent ages trying to get a response, someone answered the door and clearly sent them away and driver drove off all caught on camera. I called the shop to tell them what had happened and said I wasnt happy to pay full price for cold food and was told I either paid full price or they would cancel the order. I said to send it and I’d check it. Didn’t arrive so rang shop, owner refused to speak to me until I kicked off, then he took the call. He tried to tell me what happened so I corrected him, apparently driver tried calling me, I have no missed calls, then told me he’d investigate and call me back. He never did. How appalling- going back to Upton oriental instead. It’s all on camera which I’ll send him so he realises his employee lied about everything.
Great friendly staff, great tasting food and the price is just about right.nThe only let down is the onion rings they are from a packet and small
Just ordered prawn toast, special curry and portion chips. £16.40. The only thing nice about the meal was it was hot. I will never order again from there, the meat in the curry was like boot leather in watery soup. prawn toast was sesame only. Sorry very DISAPPOINTED
Started to go to this Chinese about 2 months ago and have had very good food. Generally order the same thing which is Singapore vermicelli, salt and pepper chicken and salt and pepper chips.nnLast night ordered the above and the salt and pepper chips and chicken was not edible. There so much sugar and salt it would have genuinely probably made us ill if we ate it. It was terrible.nnAs this didn’t seem standard practice I spoke to the manager was and I was very polite and explained how it wasn’t the norm.nnI was met with a snotty, arrogant response and he wasn’t prepared to listen and told me that I was basically wrong; that’s “how it is” and some people “ask for more” salt sometimes.nnThe way he treat me was vile, no apology, no offer to replace food or give us it free of charge next time or any refund.nnAbsolutely shocking customer, you don’t know how to speak to people and we will never ever be returning.
My husband found this take away purely by accident driving home from work. It was the best find ever. We have visited regularly and never had a poor meal. It is worth the drive from Barnsley. The customer service is excellent our food is wrapped up really well to keep it warm. I ordered chicken satay and rice and chicken and pineapple with chips, and seaweed. The food was tasty and cooked to perfection every time. I highly recommend China Town. Thank you so much we will be back!
