Great food, good portion size watch getting too big a starter. I couldn't finish my dinner! Staff are lovely, professional and friendly. Will be back. I'd recommend this place.Food: 5/5
Booked my table reservation, stated that it would be a Groupon reservation as was given to me as a gift , reservation was accepted , first time at Chin Chin, cosy & attractive little restaurant, ordered drinks then we got menu , said to waitress who was lovely & attentive that it’s a Groupon set menu , then told we could not use our Groupon deal on this night , I responded that I booked table & stated I was using Groupon deal , but was turned down ! What do you do when you have been seated & ordered drinks - Utterly embarrassing!! Ultimately my other family member had to pay the bill , if this was set nights for Groupon deals then this should have been picked up at when booking the reservation?? !! SHAME as food & service & setting was lovely
Our first visit with an online voucher and we will definitely be back. We received such a warm welcome and the food was lovely. I had vegetable spring rolls followed by beef and black bean. The fried rice seemed more like steamed but was still lovely. The decor is surreal but I liked it see photos.
Ordered two takeaways a week apart Food was terrible Duck full of fat grizzly parts Then King Prawn curry tasteless Mentioned to staff Who said owner would speak with me Still waiting As I went in a 3 Rd time as my son wanted to order I will not be back and will advise people locally not to use Absolutely shocking customer service
Mine and my families absolute favourite Chinese restaurant! We often choose Chin Chin for a birthday/celebration dinner and the food is always superb, prices are very decent especially when ordering from the set menu, portions are a great size, atmosphere is always friendly and inviting, and above all, the service is always outstanding! Staff are very attentive, warm and friendly. Would give it 6 stars if I could!
1st visit on a groupon deal. Nice wee resturant. Food was very good, good size portions & piping hot. Wide range of dishes to choose from even on the groupon deal. Drink prices good. Some staff could do with a customer care course a bit surly hence 4 stars. Outwith the offer I feel it would be a bit expensive.
Lovely setting Free crackers and sauce Wide selection of well described German beers and enjoyed the Früh Kölsch. Menu could do with more description of available curry’s, restaurant was happy to make my choosen dish more spicy The portions are well sized and would say if going as a couple share a rice and chips must try salt and chilli Honey pork didn’t exactly hit the spot but think that was my own fault for choosing the wrong dish, the wife’s Szechuan was delish. Staff very friendly and perfectly attentive
Nice restaurant, very good service and attention from the staff. Must say I was a bit disappointed with some of the food. Spare ribs, very little meat on any of them and the vegetable spring rolls were terrible. Expected a bit more and had better for the £50 price tag.
Great food and great host. Always enjoy coming back here. Simon and his staff are always attentive and you get great service. Would gladly recommend.
