The food was good. I wouldn't go on a Saturday again though as it was so busy and we did have to wait a little while.
When we ware here in the past the foog was great. That was 6 months ago. Yesterday we went there with excitement what we will order this time. Some how the starter plate of nachos shrinked by half since our last visit but still was good. Then we waited 45min for main. Unfortunately this course was disappoiting. I guess we could buy something better in tesco and do it ourself. When the main course arrived i asked for another glass of coke which i didnt get. We decided never go back again.
I have to admit I was quite surprised when I’ve visited the restaurant today, after my slow experience last year. I visited the Freeport and decided to have a treat with the family. We were reluctant as last time it took a long time to get served and the staff was very busy. This time we noticed it was again busy but the service was friendly and quick! We didn’t have a table booked but we were quickly seated by a friendly face. The food was delicious and my children asked if we could come back next weekend. Thank you for the lovely experience and keep up with the friendly and nice service.
Food was ok, service was shocking. Had to ask for a fork because it had been taken away with our empty starter plate. Waited about 5 mins for a second drink. No attentiveness to customers. The restaurant was quiet and the staff weren't organised. Then when we paid cash just kept the change and didn't bring it back. At no point did we say for the waitress to keep the change. When we asked it came back with the weakest apology ever. This was from what appeared to be a front of house manager.
I can't remember the last time I didn't leave a tip. Been here once before, and made the mistake of returning. Had to go to the bar to get another drink, and to get and pay the bill. Empty restaurant made me weary, and there was a reason for it. Waitress clearly more interested in what was going outside, and started to pretend to clean a front table so she could look outside. One other table had to even collect their food from the chef. Dreadful, avoid!
Atmosphere was dead, not their fault though, or could have been from what I saw. Only two waiters, and even though there was only another couple and I in the entire restaurant it still felt as if it was busy...because no one bothered to check on us. No "hows your food?", or " anymore drinks?"- some kind of acknowledgment would have been nice, especially when you need a drink refill. This is the only restaurant I have ever received poor customer service. Food was poor quality and not that nice either. In the end, we decided to pay our bill at the bar, as we knew that it would probably take another hour to do that. Manager was not proactive and not very polite. A lot of room for improvement really, this may seem like a harsh review, but I did feel disappointed afterwards.
Had lunch here yesterday with my poartner and daughter and really enjoyed it. The range of foods is excellent, I'm a vegetarian and my daughter avoids gluten. The waitress was really helpfull suggesting corn wraps as a gluten free option. Prices were fine - £45 for three including drinks and the service was speedy. Will visit again.
Extremely slow service, even with the excuse of a new server. Food was average at best, with some portions being small and some a lot larger with no warning on the menu or from service staff. Music so loud server had to lean in over the table and shout but still took 3+ attempts per item to get the order correct. Overall a disappointing night out.
Pre booked at table for a birthday meal at 7pm on a Saturday . On arrival staff stated table was for six people, when it should have been ten. Took half an hour for drinks to arrive. Bottle of white wine plonked unopened on table with jugs of water and soft drinks with one drink missing and no glasses provided. Asked for glasses and a bucket of ice to keep the wine in. Glasses came after ten minutes. Had to ask again about wine bucket and was given a glass with ice before finally being given a suitable container to keep the wine cool. Main meal service was good. For dessert we had one table member order a dessert and everyone else was to to have the Birthday cake we had brought with us arranged with restaurant before we arrived had to ask staff twice for cake to be brought out and the one dessert was never served, we ended up cancelling it. We put the poor service at the start down to the restaurant being a little bit busy, but it was much quieter when we did desserts. Please pull your staff up and ask them to serve a table fully before moving on i.e. Glasses, wine holder and check there general training. At the end of the meal we asked to speak to the manager to negotiate a discount, this resulted in forty-five minutes of the manager trying to grind our party down. Eventually a 25% discount was agreed, but this did not include the bottle of wine that as previously stated had just been plonked on the table with no glasses like the rest of the drinks. The manager was honestly so rude and dismissive, regardless of the errors made by the rest of the staff his attitude alone was disgusting enough for none of our party to ever want to return and to advise others find alternative places to eat. I should add the food itself was lovely, the bad experience was purely down to bad customer service. I've worked in environments like this before and would never have made the catalogue of errors made this evening. It was my first time being at home with my family for my birthday for three years and the experience was ruined by bad customer service and an appalling attitude from the manager. Avoid this location, go elsewhere. The Prezzo next door and the Nando's two down are much nicer.
Never in my life have I ever experienced such poor customer service! Staff are rude and unnatentive to say the least! The starters came out cold and after 45 minutes of then waiting for our mains after promoting the management that also came out not only cold but burnt!! One meal wasn't even brought to the table... nearly 2 hours from entering the establishment we decided to go to KFC. The manager didn't even seem bothered by anything... could understand if they where busy but there was only 2 other couples in there!!
