We come here often; guests who visit Bedford often comment on how good the food and atmosphere are, which I couldn't agree with more. If you have a large group of friends, order all of the wings, some sides, beers and sit in the garden for a few hours on a summer's day. It's just a lovely vibe. They are primarily a sports bar so great for watching sports.nThey are very welcoming towards kids; there's an outside area the kids usually play around in.
The Best chicken wings we have ever had!nnWe had heard of this place from a friend so my wife and I, along with our son, decided to check it out.nUpon arriving around 11:40, we picked our seat and looked at the menu. We ordered the Pig Out platter, and our food was ready within 20 mins.nThe waitress popped over and interacted with our son and brought over our food, and what a delight it was!nAesthetically, their award winning chicken looked incredible, and the smells were amazing. The chicken was a million times better than any KFC that exists. It's on a completely different league. And the wings were just perfect, succulent, and delicious.nnThere was so much food for the price of under £50 and the waitress did pop over twice to check on how we were finding everything. We asked for some takeaway boxes to take some home, and it seemed like nothing was too much trouble for them.nnNot often have I given full 5 stars on everything, but this place fully deserved it. Will happily travel an hour to this incredible place!
I used to live in Luton and have been to the first chicken george a number of times. This sit in restaurant is a great testament to the original creators progress into a chain.nnThe food is very nice, some lovely options on the menu. Some original flavour combinations. Fries are usually consistent a crispy. The food is presented well and a good selection of alcoholic drinks are available. However, there is almost too much, especially considering this is a essentially a chicken shop. Some of the sides are lack luster, like the mac a cheese for example - flavourless.nnAnd much of the menu is very over priced. Portions on certain items could be greatly increased, especially considering the price ranges.nnThe experience itself is pleasant. The decor and internal arrangement works well. However the difference in price between sitting in and take away is not at all justified.nnAlso, service can be slow and lacking a certain level of haist and intelligence.nnA 3.5 stars would be a fair mark.
New trendy place in Bedford. So here I am to taste their food. First impression cool atmosphere I really like that. Helpful staff so far. Lucky there wasn’t any queue so just have a seat. Nice and clean seating area with plenty of seats inside & outdoor.nOrdered my food and it was on table with no long wait. Very crunchy & crispy. So yummy and tasty but I don’t like too much think & heavy sauce on light food. Anyhow I enjoyed my time there. Hope coming back soon
What can I say about the legend that is Chiken George?!nnTina was the perfect host, her team were lovley, the food was amazing! Hot and tasty, quick, and the flavour?! Wow!nnIf you want top quality wings and perfect fried chicken, with top service and lovley staff....nnLook no further.nn100% comming back!
