Revised: lately the taste has sharply declined compared to the food we used to get 3-4 months back. May be they have gone through some changes in the kitchen team or revised their recipes. The food became sweeter and blunt, like typical American Chinese which I personally hate. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• One of the best Chinese Food Pickup found in and around Central Illinois. We’ve tried Mongolian Triple and Chicken with Veggies along with some other dishes. All of them were really nice. The food here is savory but not too sweet unlike other Chinese restaurants around, that’s what I liked the most about this place. Sorry, couldn’t get a chance to click any food pics, all were gone in a jiffy before I could grab my cam. Remember, the food here is only for take out or delivery, there is no dine in option. Pro Tip: It’s better to call their number or order online through their QR code. Ordering through Doordash or Grubhub will unnecessarily attract charges.
This is our family’s favorite take out Chinese food I’m BloNo! The kids’ favorites are egg drop soup and sweet and sour chicken. Parents favor the garlic pork and black pepper chicken. The chicken fried rice is loved by all. We order ahead using the Toast platform and have been pleased with accuracy and timing. The in store staff are helpful and gracious hosts. Please note that this location is take out only and seating for those waiting is limited. Order ahead online or by phone for the best experience. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are clearly labeled.
My boyfriend and I brought my sister here for a late dinner. She's never been before. All staff are very nice and welcoming every time! While we sat and waited for our food we had a great conversation with Jacob who is also extremely nice and cool! Food was fast and we got home even faster because the food smelled so good in the car we couldn't wait to eat it! My sister has now had her chi express cherry popped and can't wait for another round.
I’ve been dying for some good Asian food in town, and this is the spot!! So many great flavorful options with some traditional dishes as well as popular ones in the west! Crab Rangoon was fabulous and so are the details they run online! Do yourself a favor and order from here!
One of the cleanest restaurants I’ve been in! I could drop a piece of rice on the floor and I’d eat it! It’s that clean! The staff are fun, energetic, there to make sure you have THE BEST EXPERIENCE!!! Thanks again! I’ll be back if not TOMORROW! Egg rolls, crab Rangoon, sesame chicken! OMG!!! Big shout out to the Chi family. I grew up on China Pavilion and it’s the only Chinese place I could eat. This place is even better. I order from here at least twice a week, never disappoints. The crab rangoon are the best in the area.
Chi is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The portion sizes are great, the staff is friendly, and the food is always quick, hot, and fresh! I explore different items on the menu, but the cashew chicken is my go-to favorite!! Parking: Plenty of parking available
I grew up going to First Wok, then Chi in Lincoln, so I LOVE having a Chi here in town!! I cannot recommend this place enough. Super friendly staff and phenomenal food. You won't find better Chinese-American food in Bloomington Normal! Vegetarian options: Certainly vegetarian friendly as well!
Ordered two "large" meals. One was only 3/4 full, which is likely the size of the small, but cost $7 more. Food was adequate but nothing to get excited about. For the $37 we spent, we could have had two nice steaks. Won't be back.
We have told many friends about Chi Express, such fantastic service and outstanding food! We love the General Tzo Chicken, the sweet & sour chicken, fried dumplings, crab Rangoon, the combination lo mein, and the vegetables in garlic sauce! Fresh, hot foot, great people, nice place!
