Great information centre with lovely staff. Unfortunately, I lost all of my purchases as they fell out of my backpack on the way back to my car. However, I should have expected it, as you cannot take material possessions with you when you make the final exit.
Great friendly and enthusiastic stuff. We did a guided walking tour and were the only ones on the tour. Our guide, Menai was incredible and Mum and I both felt we learnt a lot during just 1.5 hours and it was also engaging and well organised. She was very approachable and answered all our questions with patience and had the answer to everything. Menai is wonderful and I would love to do a tour with Menai again when I return to Chester.
Many places have sadly closed their tourist information centres but Chester’s seemed to be thriving. I was given used information by a friendly and helpful staff member as soon as I walked through the door. Seemed to be lots of great souvenirs too, but unfortunately I didn’t have time to browse - too many other things to do in this beautiful city.
Massive place lovely buildings. But pavements in need of attention.Triped several times as there were lots of pavements broken or lifted. Some streets are very cobbled. You need good walking shoes.Shopping Malls have no toilets. Quite hard to find toilets. Pubs and cafe visits, toilets there. We had a boat ride .Very reasonable.
Super nice and helpful staff. Wanted to make sure our stay in chester was wonderful! Would recommend booking tours through them!
Chester is fantastic BUT stay clear of this bar..PROVIDENCE GINS...the barman was surly, unhelpful and very unprofessional. Ordered drinks at 10.20pm approx, spend 36+£ ... TOLD!!! to leave at 10.40! Found out he was inviting his m8s in for a 'lock in' ...refused to give name etc of his manager. STAY CLEAR PEOPLE...spend your money elsewhere.
Very beautiful historic place
Friendly staff and very helpful. Found all I needed for souvenirs from Chester to bring back home to friends and family. You are also able to book many different tours here, which is quite convenient.
Spent an afternoon in Chester and loved how many shops, cafes and bars there were.
Tremendous, knowledgeable team who are always happy to help answer all manner of questions. There are lots of books and leaflets, and a brilliant range of gifts, including from local artists. Many tours can be booked here too, highlights including The Edwardian Lady tour and Dark Chester tour. Highly recommended for all you need to do in, and know about the beautiful city of Chester.
