My first time visiting and I was blown away by the size of the place and the amount of stock. Very clean and well lit premises - over two floors. Friendly helpful staff, very impressed -will definitely be back.
I went in a day ago with the intention of purchasing two scale rock crawlers, one for both myself and my wife. I was greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed me the models I had picked out already from there website. Having confirmed that they were the one's I wanted after physically seeing them in the flesh. I purchased them both the sale went smoothly as you would expect and I was given advice about the Lipo batteries, in regards to safety. There is no substitute for seeing your intended purchase upfront as an internet picture can never do a large scale purchase justice. In North East Models there a large selection of RC cars all displayed safely behind the counter, and the staff are happy for you to view your potential purchases before making your choice. There is also an extremely large selection of model kits and other hobbies in this sizable premises, but I admit to not looking around much as my interest is in radio controlled models. All in all I found my shopping experience to be a favourable one, I am extremely happy with the two models that I purchased and I am glad that I shopped at North East Models, they get a five star rating from me.
Honestly one of the best places for hobby supplies in the north east. Super easy to get to, has it's own parking same car park as the restaurant next door! It's like an Aladdin's cave of hobby and modelling bits. Only negative is they aren't open Sundays, but honestly that's a good thing for me because I'd probably spend even more!
Great model shop with very friendly and helpful staff. We have been using the shop for a good few years now. From buying models, paints and r/c cars etc. Plenty of good quality branded products from tamiya, kyosho, hpi, dragon, eduard and etc,etc. Every time we have been they have always had what we have wanted or or a similar product. And great prices. Thanks again.
I love the model shop the staff are so helpful and they go out the way to help there customers I would go there all the time and I would recommend the model shop to anyone best one
Really disappointed. Wanted to support a local shop in person. Cheaper on line but wanted to contact with a human being. Would be lovely to think that the person you bought from had the same passion as you. Maybe the online robots will win in the future!
Amazing range of paints and accessories! Good selection of kits. Bit off the beaten track but well worth a visit...
Brilliant model shop. Didnt spend long there but initial impressions are if they don't sell it its not worth having, they sell everything!
Went here for the first time as been searching for a model shop as new to the area and this place is an absolute gold mine such a great selection of kits all scales and relevant supplies of glues paints required this will be a place I see myself being my regular supply for my hobby needs nice friendly staff as well
Covering everything needed for modeling , well stocked could spend all day in there, very helpful staff and knowledgeable
