I love marbury, its our local park and a regular dog run for me and the wife and we love it. Its a super dog friendly as long as you treat the place and other users of the space with respect. Well maintained and there are so many walks and sights with links to the northwich flashes and Anderton.
Nice to have open spaces within easy travelling distance and when it's quiet this is a really lovely place to walk, walk a dog or watch birdlife. The car park isn't free but is in a heck of a state with a substantial part muddy as hell and having a series of its own mini-lakes making getting into or out of cars with kids or dogs an unnecessarily dirty proposition.
Great walk with kids and dogs. Toilets there and picnic tables. Childerns play area with little food truck serving tea and coffee with sandwiches. Parking was £1.50 for 3 hours or £2.50 for all day. X
This park has lots of paths going all directions, woodland walks and water. We have walked and cycled the paths.
Nice walk, good parking. Would visit again.
I haven't been to the park for a while, I really enjoyed it. Lots of areas have been deliberately left to go wild. There is also a lovely new playground. Lots of work going on to improve it.
Lovely peaceful walk after work, it's good for the soul to come here at this time of the day
Nice park with plenty of space for walks, families and dogs
Superb country park, it's vast! Lots of interest, so many varied footpaths, information boards about it's past and history, lots of nature and wildlife, picnic sites, benches, built in barbecues are also in place. Lovely views and pathways along the Mere and along canal towpaths. You can walk here for a day and not see it all. Recommended.
We are frequently visitors to Marbury Park - it's a favourite for the dogs. There's plenty of routes to take depending on how long you want to walk. You do have to pay to park £1.50 for up to 3 hours or £2.50 for longer but the machine does take card so not too much of an issue. There is some seating and a food truck which serves hot drinks, some hot food and delicious home made cakes. There's usually an ice cream van there as well. Overall a lovely park to visit. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly, many dogs there each time we visit.
