A bank holiday visit. Bar and tables plus garden open while downstairs was shut.View of canal and barges from some tables.Tables well spaced. Helpful and friendly staff.Food very very average. We only had ciabattas which came with fries and slaw but although nothing really wrong with them were so unspecial we wished we hadn't bothered - Maybe it was the slightly warm mass of soft ciabatta.
Enjoyed a drink & a meal while staying in the area. Located right by the Kennet & Avon canal and close to Pewsey so good for people walking & travelling in the area. We went on a wet December evening so difficult to judge atmosphere but food was excellent and the service was very friendly and helpful.Food: 5/5
Great value food and very friendly welcome offered... Doing a dry January, we had the non-alcoholic beer which was one of the best I've tried.Food: 5/5
Cracking friendly pub, right on the Kennet and Avon Canal. Great food, great price. The King Prawn Bhuna especially, like O.M.G
We stopped here for lunch on our way back on Friday. Ali looked after us so wonderfully. Absolutely perfect service from her so friendly and helpful really made our visit enjoyable. Couldn't do enough to help. Food was fab and huge portion way more than I could eat. The pub is nice and in a stunning location with plenty of parking. A lovely place to enjoy food looking over the canal.
Lovely place to eat in the sunshine , would definitely go back again . Food was very nice , very friendly staff .
If i. Was. Reading a glowing review of this place I would be suspicious because I don't believe everything I read. However there are not enough stars to rate this place. I had fish and chips, - better than Gordon Ramseys overpriced so called gastro pub- 'the narrow ' He could pick up a few tips from this place. OUTSTANDING!!
We stop here every year on our way from Norwich to Sidmouth. Clean toilets, good food and drink and dog friendly upstairs in the bar. Lovely walk along the canal to stretch your legs after a long drive.
Very warm welcome. Great real ale available from Stonhenge brewery. Had a grand lunchtime sandwich too.Food: 5/5
Nice old traditional pub by a picturesque wharf on the Kennet and Avon canal.Relaxed. Enjoy a pint in the canal-side garden.
