A far distance from rail station, plenty of cabs outside the station and cost of 4 of us from station to ground cost £11. and took about 10 mins it's a good 40 min walk . Food was OK pasty cost £6 which was maybe a bit pricey but was very hot and was decent.Toilets have plenty of space so no queues.. For an adult it cost £26 to get into the ground.
What a great friendly ground popped in to the bar befor the match and was made to feel very welcome had scampy and chips brilliant price and pipping hot. Really enjoyed my time watching the game at a fab ground
Lovely friendly club.nI always enjoy a visit to their town.nSuch a shame they have had relegated to League 2. You will be back and when you are, so will I.
The football during the 2023/2024 season was generally woeful so, unless a local supporter, I’d suggest that you only go to watch the away team stars. Understandable though as the club only brings in approximately 4.2k per game which is not sustainable at League One level. Having been a Cheltenham Town supporter for six decades I have concluded the club take the local 2.5k regulars for granted. Because they can.
Treated 3rd rate by a club not fit to be national league. Why were their wheelchair and ambulant disabled fans given clear unobstructed view of the pitch yet we had to sit behind huge advertising boards cutting off most of our view. To go to toilet I had to go out of away stand, under scoreboard and half way down pitch to a tiny cubicle with freezing water and no sanitary products for ladies unlike many other grounds. My p.a was female and said the ladies toilets were a disgrace, dirty and the floor flooded. In a fire we wouldn't have got out as we had fans and gestapo officers I mean stewards all round us which meant we couldn't see most of the pitch. The ground is a disgrace and not fit for national league let alone league 1.
