A beautiful botanical garden — quiet, charming, and such a lovely place in the middle of the city. There’s a cosy little café that feels almost like being in a countryside garden. It’s a shame the kitchen closes at 2:30, but they still offer cold salads and cakes afterwards. Cosy, tasty, and perfect for sitting in the shade. I really love this place.
Really enjoyed this garden. Fantastic collection of plants. We ate lunch at the Cafe after viewing the garden. Food was delicious. Nice gift shop/nursery. We bought a membership so we could view the garden an hour before the garden opened to the public.
Very unusual and peaceful gardens. A hidden gem in London. Full of history. The medicinal planting is very interesting.nnI went during open house which was free, but I would pay to go back again as it's a really beautiful and lovely environment.
I paid a visit during the Open House Festival and found this garden very lovely. It has so many interesting plants inside glasshouses and outside, and lots of benches to take a break and listen to the music the autumn wind brings. They have a funny collection of chillies and pumpkins in this season if you visit recently as well.
Lovely quite Garden spaces. Large enough for different garden types. Very informative on plants and their history. Different areas to explore and just sit and enjoy the day.
