Nice station with decent facilities. I caught the 11:25 train to Liverpool Street provided by greater Anglia. The staff were polite efficient and helpful to provide me and my family with a zone 1 London travel card. The fare was fair . The platform was nice due to the stairs being in the middle of the platform making it easy to see where to go to get on the desired carriage.nOverall-nCleanliness-nStaff-nLayout-nA really good station to use would highly recommend
It's awful. Precious little in the way of decent shops, the malls are poor, very little to interest the eye let alone the wallet. No better than Colchester and much inferior to Bury St Edmunds, imo. Hadn't visited for a long while, it'll be longer till I come again.
Frequent trains but its always busy! Theres a costa at the station which is good. Loads of ticket machines. If you have to queue for a ticket it can be long. Many stairs up to the platforms. When coming down at rush hour its a very slow set of steps due to the volume of people, although there is a separate entrance on platform 2 that goes down to the bus station.nnThey could do with some weed killer for the middle of the track.
Chelmsford is a lovely city, with plenty of public transport services, in the main shopping area there are a lot of shops to look around, also there are loads of places to eat and drink and relax, there are plenty of parking areas around the city centre.
I am sick and tired since the pandemic customer service has gone through the window, I'm fed up of rude and a obnoxious customer service assistants, if you don't like your job leave and find a new profession.nAlso I am registered blind I may not look it but I struggle to see the board, so when I asked for help that is when I get the attitude from the staff
