Lovely cathedral, and the smallest in England.nTake a moment of reflection in this small but beautiful cathedral. It has many interesting artifacts to find and appreciate.nWe loved it and gave a small donation towards it's upkeep. Please do the same so it can be maintained for future generations.
Lovely building with beautiful windows and art work. I bought some lovely cards as well. We couldnt stay long as there was a children's concert.
We popped in today with our dogs for the Mars: War & Peace show - amazing! What a beautiful cathedral. But more importantly, the volunteers are amazing. In particular the wonderful senior gentleman, with white hair and beard, glasses and kind eyes. He talks so passionately about the cathedral, and he answered all my questions about the buildings history, as well as the show too. I unfortunately didn't catch his name.
The beautiful Cathedral is almost hidden from view as you navigate the busy pavements around Shire Hall and up through Tindal Square. Glimpse of the flint exterior appear between the old buildings and down medieval lanes. Is a fairly small Cathedral, the elegant but modest spire is barely visible above the shops and offices.nnWe visited last week during an art exhibition. The high ceiling was filled with an inflatable model of Mars with detailed NASA imagery on its surface. Linking it with the Roman god of war, the artist included exhibitions on local regiments and soundtracks including recordings of conflict and fighting.nnThere seem to be plenty of staff and volunteers on hand to talk about the building, exhibition and future events. Well worth visiting, on any normal day or during an event.
Historic serenity, I said a prayer there. Lord, may this church remain a church until your return
