First time visiting Chef Canton after driving past it countless times. Firstly, this place is very busy. The phone is constantly ringing and people coming in and out all the time to place orders which is a great first impression! A few of things to note, it’s cash only, they do local deliveries but are not on any delivery apps such as JustEat etc. The lady at the front was really polite and attentive. As we’d never been before we were a bit overwhelmed with the extensive menu which I’ve added to the photos. we decided to give the salt & pepper box a try with some egg fried rice and shredded beef with Cantonese sauce. The food was actually really tasty and full of flavour. The salt & pepper box gives you a taste of all of salt & pepper options available singularly. The pricing is very good for the portion sizes, we’ll definitely be coming here again! Can’t wait to try more things on the menu.
Id gone off chinese food for a while after getting takeaways from other places that have been poor. Thought we'd try chef canton. The food was beautiful! Everything exactly how I love it. Thick wok fried noodles none of those skinny noodles I've been getting from other places. Proper chunky salt and pepper chips and the sauces were amazing. We got kung po, curry and satay. Portions were great. 10/10 :D Vegetarian options: Great veggie options and can remove things like egg from the rice etc
The worst Chinese we've ever had. The chicken was over cooked and burnt, chips were raw and the salt&pepper chips didn't have any salt &pepper on, the plainest chips ever. Definitely won't be coming here again it was a waste of money.Food: 1/5
The recent One-stars make no sense at all - we've been maybe 20 times across the last few years, always good, nice family run space too and always friendly.. Thumbs upFood: 5/5
I’ve come from a long line of family Chinese takeaway background so I know a decent Chinese when I get one. We ordered starters mainly Chicken and sweetcorn soup was just OK Duck with pancakes was OK Prawn toast was over cooked The two lots of salt and pepper ribs was over cooked and dry in fact inedible. So disappointed. We won’t be coming back.

Shop not open when it says. Tried calling multiple times and shop is closed despite it saying open. Open your shop or adjust your times.Food: 1/5
If I could give this place no star rating. I would. Most disgusting Chinese, I've ever had. What a waste of money. Save yourself from ordering and find another place. Will not be back here again.
