Chef and Spice is a fantastic restaurant and the staff are good and polite, providing excellent service throughout your meal.nThe food is great here. The starters are delicious, and the main courses are just as impressive, especially the lamb dishes. Make sure to save some room for dessert, as they are a tasty end to a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!
Went yesterday, and the restaurant was clean, lit well, and welcoming. Restaurant has parking where if you park there you must enter your car registration number to avoid a parking fine. The servers were all very polite and welcoming. The variety is very good for the starters, main course and dessert. The quality of the food was also good, and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
Friends birthday, they had tables set up and not as many people came so we're happy to adjust.nnDidn't like going to the bar to get drinksnnGood selection of info based food to keep different pallets happy.nnI did not appreciate that paying attention the end was different to the advertised price online... Only 2/3£ more but that's not the point....nnAll
Variety and Quality: The buffet-style restaurant features a wide range of dishes from different cuisines, including Indian, Chinese,British and Italian. The freshness and quality of the food, highlighted the vibrant flavors and well-prepared dishes.nnThe staff at Chef and Spice are friendly and provide attentive service. We appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the efficiency with which the staff manage the busy restaurant.nnAmbiance: The restaurant's interior is modern and clean, creating a pleasant dining environment. The spacious layout accommodates large groups, making it a popular choice for family gatherings and celebrations.nnextensive variety of dishes available at the buffet. The live counter of stir fry was a disaster the cook was making an unpalatable scramble - tried twice but both preparations were horrible .nThe Doner wrap counter was inoperative .nnSome standout items included the chicken jhalfrezi, lamb curry, Goan fish curry, chicken wings and various vegetarian options such as pakoras and samosas . The dessert section had a nice variety including a chocolate fountain - brownies and Indian deserts freshly made
What has happened to this place? Used to be really busy and lively, went tonight and was probably 15-20 people in, if that. They’ve stopped serving alcohol which, as far as I can see, hasn’t been stated anywhere, at least 2 other tables questioned when this had stopped, so £4.25 for a small glass of coke, is daylight robbery! We Had some start items which were cold, tried the stir fry which we usually really like!! It was not a stir fry, the young guy put loads of water in, turned up the heat and walked off, the food was boiling. When I questioned him about it, he said that’s how the chicken cooks, I stated I wanted it stir fried, not boiled. He didn’t have a clue. We left and reluctantly went to pay, asked the young guy on the till what had happened to the place, he wasn’t interested, asked me if I’d tried the mains!! No, I didn’t, what I did try had put me off! Even at BOGOF it wasn’t worth the money and won’t be returning. Shame really
