We moved to Chatterton's after trying to work with a Conveyancing Solicitors that you believed were a small firm, when in fact it was a 'Call Centre of Paralegals and you could not phone it was all by email, with no named contact after two weeks of waiting for a reply to an email I decided I couldn't buy a house and my legal representative I couldn't speak to.
I decided to go local where I can meet my legal representative and go into the office and sign the paperwork face to face.
Chatterton's couldn't be more different Sandra Cullen and Toni Meads are in a different class thorough, efficient, very pleasant to deal with, extremely responsive with a one to one service. 
When you are buying a property it is an investment and you need guidance and experience when dealing with Searches, Land Registry and Deeds after dealing with the first outfit I would have no confidence when you are not able to discuss on the phone.
 Initially you may feel Chatterton's are considerable more expensive but the difference  is their fee is their fee no 'add ons' for letters, for photocopies etc etc and if you are buying a life time investment it is worth paying few hundred £s more for your Conveyancing otherwise it may cost you thousands  £s at a later day to sort out a problem that shouldn't have happened! 
After my experience, I would recommend you sit down with the Solicitor before instructing them, that first meeting is where both parties meet, discuss your finance arrangements and the process ahead with the costings etc you build a repor and it saves a lot of misunderstandings down the line.  I would recommend Chatterton's to my son and I would use them again. 5*****

WORSE ADVISE EVER GIVEN ANYWHERE SPENT A FORTUNE AND GOT NOTHING IN RETURN EXCEPT BAD ADVICE
